Shannon plays the SOO under 19's game after the warriors clash - its the lead up game to the big boys SOO match

TnT is there as a floating reserve, can play backrow as well as in the backs - wish he got a run ahead of Elford

Please

Shane Elford has done more for the side then Fitzhenry.

I can't believe how many bag Elford.

I'd punt fitzy ASAP, though he must be congratulated on his 31 tries in 6 seasons. Outstanding. Fats is nearly there in about 40 games

McDonnell will beat it within 2 seasons as soon as they get him in the side.
Elford is 6"3, 100kgs and wouldn`t crush a grape. Not good enough!

Elford is class. One of the best defenders in the game and very fast and strong. How fitzhenry gets a game is truly beyond me

What exactly is that?

Elford isn't a winger, better suited to center but a bit hard when fatts and collis are infront of you

Elford is meant to be one of the fastest in the team yet on the field can't beat a prop, he lacks the finishing ability that a winger should have (perfect example of this was right on halftime against the Knights when for some reason whilst the ball is in 1 hand over the line he decides to rise and to pass it instead) and isn't safe under the high ball

Fitzy I wouldn't have him in the starting side either, I would have Mcdonnell, Lolesi, Corckett, Jeffery and Eshman ahead of him on the wing

Both are ordinary at best as wingers.

The reason I said TnT for Elford on the wing is that with Sheens and co having concerns about Benji, and the fact Sheens clearly for some reason rates Fitzy and as such his consistant use of Fitzy in the halves etc then I don't see him being a possible option in Sheens eyes to be an option to be dropped

As I said if I was the coach both wouldn't be in the side

I have heard it all now. So Elford is no good ???
Fair dinkum the bloke is one of the best 3/4s in the game (centre or wing)
Looked very slow on Sunday when he set up the last try didn't he ??

Yeah his finishing ability was real poor in the first half try he scored? Same with his pass for Rhino to set up the last Try. Give me a break.

And what makes you think he can't beat a prop. Have you seen him race Skando at training? He Might not be a Bullocking winger but he runs alot harder then Fitzy.

Shane Elford contributed strongly last season to our premiership and will be solid again this season. His defence in the SF's in the centres was nothing short of First Class and his defence this season has again been strong.

I think you just don't like the fact he didn't seem to care when playing a game in PL.

Please 1 of the best 3/4's in the game turn it up, he can't even get a crack as a starting center with the Wests Tigers, hardly would even mention him in the same breathe as Hodges, Bell, Gasnier, Cooper, King etc

Finishing ability - bombed try at the end of halftime with ball in one hand whilst over the try line at about a 90 degree angle, then all of a sudden decides to straighten, twist, then pass the ball - plenty of time to have put the ball down especially when at the time the player making the tackle on him was yet to have a full grip in the tackle and he had the ball in one hand already centermiters off the ground

IMO he is a center not a winger and I think we have better wingers in the club than what he can offer out there, his speed on game days is crap, at training he is one of the quickest at the club, against the Knights he was tackled by Smith when Elford was on the outside of him. On the last try boy he must be fast when Heighno is keeping up with you ....... BTW finishing ability means he scored or finshed the play off not continue with the play by passing the ball to Rhino Eddie.

I didn't question his ball skills and ability as a center, nor did I say his contribution was terrible last year, nor am I judging him on his PL performance this year - IMO he just isn't a winger, I argued a heap last year especially against Joel about Elford and why he should be in the side on the official site, appearntly when you deem fit you collectivly like to forget about that Eddie!

Fitzhenry and Elford are both very ordinary 1st grade footballers. Any decent footballer would have scored, given the chance that Elford had in the last play before halftime last weekend against Newcastle. Benji threw him a genius ball which left him (Elford) unmarked with no one in front of him, but instead of pinning the ears back and going for the corner, he hesitated and then when he got within 5 metres of the tryline with opposing defenders coming at him, he for some unknown reason tried to run the ball over the try line rather than doing what any decent footballer would do and dive for the line. The bloke is a dead set imposter and the sooner we put 2 decent wingers in the side the better!!!

Fitzhenry is a joke. Elf is a very very good and very very underated player

Should he or shouldn`t he have scored that try on the stroke of halftime ???
I can`t see what qualities Elford has over Shannon McDonnell, Michael Crockett or Bronson Harrison. Id just about add the big Tongan to that list as well.

Elf should have scored....no doubts but I still rate him.

Collis also murdered one but he is still class....

At absolute worst.
The bloke is class.
I dare say he could handle 5/8 without a problem in the absence of Benji (god forbid)
