I watched this game last night and damn it was a scrappy game. I can't believe how much better NRL is now compared to 2000, but the tigers were throwing the ball around and making breaks like they do now days. they even butchered a few tries like they do now days.

actually nrl was a lot better during the late 90s/early 2000,there were a lot better players around and there were actually more than 3 good halfs :?

caine actually had a really good year that was one of hes off games for sure
btw its amazing how we were in the top 8 for 21 of the 26 rounds that year

I gotta disagree. I understand it was Feb but it was a night time game so the heat shouldn't have been a massive factor, plus they had 7 on the bench and a water break half way through each half. also they had unlimited interchange.

If the NRL was better during the late 90s/early 2000 I hope that game was just a bad one. the passing was very sloppy and slow plus I think half the tigers had butter fingers because they couldn't catch the or hold the ball.

despite all my whinging about the quality of the game it was still enjoyable seeing how the tigers started and some of the names brought back good memories. did you see Mark Tookey? he was such a beast.

Haha ...yeh...so frustrating most of them , always trying to get away with something or rort here n there, Senter, Hoppa, Field, Hill....used to drive me nuts, just wished theyd focus on playing footy and forget the crap.
