There you go no Benji but I wouldnt be surprised if is a late inclusion. One to watch would be Dene Halatau off the bench who scored 2 tries playing center v you guys last year @ Leichhardt, will mainly play in the forwards this year. Looking forward to the game with both teams having something to prove

Its going to be weird seeing Nick Graham in another teams jersey, actually I thought they'd have him at lock and Satler in the 2nd row so Satler's old legs could get a rest.

Most of your team scored two tries against us last year @ Leichhardt...

Well there are 2 guys missing from that side that I thought were shoe ins! Luke Covell and Benji Marshall. Looks as if Sheens wants to play a few cards close to his chest. He obviously doesn't want another boom start and squeek finish like previous years. This side is going to be pure brunt in your face and mostly safe, I reckon. ;-) A tough one first up. Let's hope our international's and other rep players step up.

Either team could win this

I cant believe that fargwit Darren Senter is the captain. That guy is a deadset moron. He commands no respect. He's an arseclown.

The forward pack looks pretty solid to me, except for Patterson who I don't rate.
The backs are experienced but not all that flashy, in my opinion. The bench players are unfamiliar to me except for Halatau. Bit of a unknown quality.

Sheros:

Gibbs- 19 year old front rower forced into top grade through injuries last year. Is a big boy and has no fear, scored with his first touch of the ball in 1sts. Very aggressive and was known as a hothead in junior levels. Wests junior.

Reynolds- Lower grader half @ Penrith. Hasnt really impressed me in the trials.

Heighington- Hard running and hitting backrower. Only 21 and made his debut last year. Very promising, reminds me of a young Ben Kennedy/Darren Tracey. Norths/ Central Coast junior.

Is reynolds the guy that was captain of one of the penrith junior teams and played 1/2 or 5/8 last year?

if gibbs turns twenty this year I would have played in junior reps and if he's the guy Im thinking of he likes the odd sledge and niggle, basically what wests used to be known for. ;-)

Yeah good tige's side should be a good match up....go the Sharkies...no Benji Marshall on the account that he will lead the side after round 10 IMO......great potential and one of the future stars of the game!

Cant wait!!!! #-o

Laffranchi is injured, possibly for up to a month

actually I'm a little surprised by both teams

they can both field a stronger line-up

Both teams have some backs missing ..... as a neutral observer, i'm leaning toward the Sharks atm cause forwards win matches, then add Kimmorley ......

but this is a real tough one

Oink !

snippet from foxsports -

Other team news from last night includes a new-look Wests Tigers backline containing four fresh faces to meet the Sharks in the opening match of Saturday night's double-header.

Former NSW Origin pair Brett Hodgson and Jason Moodie will be linked with other new recruits Shane Elford and Scott Prince at the Tigers.

Rookie Benji Marshall has not been named in the NRL squad.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

i reckon this will be a cracker game

speaking of Senter I was driving past Gannons Park in Peakhurst this week and there he was in full tigers clobber by himself doing stretches. I thought WTF then I noticed a photographer beneath the trees laying down taking a few shots.
For a minute I was thinking "wanker".
