The Roosters threw everything even baseball bats.
The old Dragons before Bennett would crumbled But Damm were here to stay.
Soward go us going second half with his pinpoint accuracy driving that ball and pinning it in those corners.
the forwards absorbed all the first half pressure and stepped up second half smashing the Hens into submission.
Anasta again was a grub.
GO THE DRAGONS:clap:

Awesome effort! When you see the Poosters resort to the niggle, it shows they know they've been smashed.

Would have love to have seen Boyd's try awarded - he deserved one.

Did Ryles actually get on the field?

Bwaith the sponge. Some things never change.

The amount of niggle that went on from Easts, especially in the latter stages. Had a laugh when Archer penalised us for throwing away a defender. If he was watching what was going on, he'd understand why you wouldn't want one of these mongrels lying on top of a team mate.

Big crowd - red and white. 24-0 in the second half. Excellent defence. Fantastic to watch.

What a difference a coach makes, always confident with this side even at half time. Back in the Nathan Brown days we would of got lapped in the 2nd half after conceding a try with 30 secs to go before half time. By the way that is only the 3rd try Saints have conceded in all 1st halves this year.

LOL

My missus doesn't know much about footy but even she was saying 'how the hell is this guy captain?'. I then explained to her how bwaithy has been voted by his peers the most overrated player for many years etc.

Great performance.

Was never worried during the game. Roosters were all over them in the first half and all they had to show for it was a lucky try from a kick.

It looked like the Roosters player went down with his forearm then was thrown off, grubs

There were a few penalties against us for giving it back. The Roosters were just better at it. Looked like they were coached to do it.

A few things to come out of that game;

1stly excellent defensive effort again !!!!!!
2ndly Warea hargraves is a good player with a future, however needs to get the grubby shyte out of his game.
3rdly I was so, so, so pleased there were no morons yelling out "go the dragons/roosters" or some other dickhead comment during the minutes silence. 1st time in many many years.

I am guaranteed to get howled down after reading the responses on this forum, but I thought we were lucky that Easts turned off in the 2nd half. Our play was pedestrian and in defence it looked like the players wher thinking of the Victoria's Secret models. We have to pick up if we expect a win next week.

The MRC will be looking at dozen incidents from that match. High shots were commonplace. How an Easts player wasn't penalised for forcing Weyman over the sideline by the neck is beyond me.

Might all be put in the too hard basket.

I dont think they switched more likely played there whole game in the first half and had nothing left in the tank, they were running at a brick all day and secondly I thought Sowards bombs were a garbage ploy, should have been grubbing into the try line and getting a repeat set back rather than having to work up a sweat defending all day, that's garbage and I hope that wasn't Bennett's game plan.

Great game from the Dragons, the Roosters threw a lot at us and we stuck it out. Very commited defence from the boys and we got rewarded in the latter stages of the game.

That was one of the more niggly games we have had to put up with for some time. Pretty close contest in the first half, but Easts couldn't do it for 80 minutes. Also, Easts were laying all over us in the play the ball, when we realised that they were getting away with it we returned serve in the 2nd half. When they got behind on the scoreboard Easts resorted to niggle. Good to see us not retaliate too badly. As other's have said, I think it was a tactic. Can't believe Smith tried to outmuscle us, that worked well Brian. Not a bad game, not our best, but we hung tight as we seem to do more often than not. 100% effort from all the boys I thought and Coops was excellent today.
