What are our colours anyway?

Is anyone else getting seriously pissed off with all the mucking around with jerseys? I really have no idea what Warriors colours are these days. I accepted the change to the mostly black colour scheme in 2001 and the Puma jerseys were at least reasonably consistent, but since Canterbury took over they've been an absolute dog's breakfast. We need a proper colour scheme that we can stick to and create and iconic instantly recognisable Warriors strip with.

Totally agree. Vodafone seems to have had way too much influence with all the red that keeps appearing in the jerseys.

Don't like this green either, its just awful. Not quite a dogs breakfast, its more like the dog threw up his breakfast on what used to be a proper jersey.

Have we even worn our black jerseys yet?

l have but not our team -) If we had worn our white away strip that would of been funny. JWH would of put a big illegal hit on FPN since they are an exact clone of the rooters outfit. We wore the green due to heritage week

If it was heritage week, and they were celebrating the 2002 GF, then why didn't we wear a remake of the 2002 GF jersey? Instead of that ugly green thing.

Agreed. Or the old blue Auckland Warriors jersey, the original.

Agreed. And didn't they wear the green strip a couple of weeks ago? All these jerseys are a blatant cash grab that dilute our brand.
We should have:
1: A main jersey in team colours (whatever the f**k they are these days). This should be kept consistent year to year.
2: An away jersey in reversed colours, which we only wear if there's a clash.
3: heritage strips should be replicas of old jerseys from whatever is being commemorated, ie the 1995 or 2002 GF strips. Not an endless stream of fruity one-offs.

I've been saying this for a while its always awesome when you see the saints or rabbits supporters and all you see is red and white or red and green. You go to a warriors game and you see everything from, blue, red, green, white, grey, black etc.

All sports should have a common uniform theme amongst all teams, where only the colors vary. When clubs get their on creative insight monstrosities like yesterdays jersey happen.

Nah, disagree on that, I hated the Superleague thing where all the jerseys were the same design. I like the variety of different styled classic jerseys in the NRL, it's just some of the modern fancy ones that are getting ridiculous.

so this.
Personally I like the green ones, but that's all over-ruled by what SM wrote

As a design I don't mind the green ones either- but it's the kind of thing that should be done maybe once a year and then only worn once for a special occasion. The whole thing started with the special jersey for Awens testimonial that was meant to be worn as a one-off for that game, it was great for that, but since then we've had the "special" strips rolled out at every opportunity.

True. I was originally going to write our colour is rainbow, but not in a gay way. Unfortunately though the way we're going we are rainbow in a Jim Henson creation way.

i wanna know why they haven't worn the home jersey yet... they should have worn it against Manly, The Dogs & Titans.

id like to see the NRL fine clubs who dont wear the home jersey on home games.

According to someone I know in sports retail, these green things sell like hotcakes. I have no idea why.

Because they look good and a lot of Maori buy them cos of the patterns. Same as the grey heritage jersey from a couple of years back they're probably 2 of the more popular jerseys I've seen at the 2 games Ive been to here in Sydney this year.
