its quiet simple isnt it...

where would we have come in 07/08 if morris wasn't used in the halves?

i just worked out. from 2007 until round 16 this year (the last game jmo played in the halves) we averaged 20 points conceded 24.

in the 6 games since he has been moved to the bench we have averaged 34 and conceded an average of 13.

im sorry but 6 fantastic weeks can NOT take away from the last 3 and a half years of sh*thouse coaching

I feel ya pain bud. That arrogant Teflon Tool has also caused me alot of grief over the last 3 years purely on his pathetic team selections......mainly the halves. How many combos did that f*wit of a coach use in the halves....J-Mo, Lawrence, Fulton, Farah....What a knob. I didn't have a team to support over those last 3 years, now I do. How stupid must he look now ? Anyway, let's move on. Time heels all wounds.

In 2006 we still had Prince - but I know what you're saying and I'm sure the figures are pretty much the same.

This year wasn't about where JoMo was. This year was about where Benji was.

Where he has been in previous years (since Prince left) is well placed 6 next to a non-7.

Where he has been this year (up till Round 16) is a non-7 next to a fill-in 6.

Where he has been this year since then (and for 2005/2006) is a well placed 6 next to a well placed 7.

Same conclusion though...poor decisions by TS that took FAR TOO LONG to be fixed once it showed that it didn't work. I have no problems with coaches experiementing with various tactics and shuffling the deck when things are dusty, but 3-4 games is enough for any experiment! Not half a season!

NOTE: I'm speaking figuratively in terms of "next to" so don't anyone be a smart a*se and say "They play the halves split on the field" :p

If you play like a busted bus because you have no talent (ie like the sharks)well I can live with it, but when you have a couple of players who come along every blue moon with so much talent and still play like a busted bus, thats when I get the crabs, and we all know it could have been so much different if the boss had taken his head out of the sand.

Take this year, realistically we will finish at best 7th or 8th and if we do make the semi finals it will only be a short stay. The fairy tale of 2005 is not impossible but highly unlikley--just the way things go. Now if Sheens had addressed the no7 thing early in the season, we would have one fifty percent or more of our close losses and now be right up their with the drags and have a real chance at the prize.

its true our attack had suffered from him in the #7, although the reduction in average of points conceded from 24 to 13 is definitely not his fault, that has come from an improvement in the team as a whole

If we beat the Storm when Laurie knocked on in front of the sticks with no-one around him, we'd be coming 4th.

Then if we didn't blow that game against Souffs, didn't blow the game against the Dogs and didn't get cheated out again the Broncos, we'd be coming close to second.

What's done is done though, looking forward to friday night.
