Is this NSW police? If so, it sounds pretty f**ken easy to get into..

to join the QLD police you need a mixture of work experience and tertiary study(diploma and up) If you have a degree you dont need work experience i think, If you have done a few years of a degree, you need a couple years of work.. If you have worked for over 5 years you need 200 hours of degree study..

Alot of people failed to realise what Psychology truly is until they sat through a Statistics class. It's not my favourite subject but there are worse out there.

I'm in my 2nd yr of an advanced arts dimploma. I plan on going to uni to get my dip ed to be an art teacher.

I was told that after completing a uni degree you have less than 50% chance of finding work, whereas after completing a tafe course it is around 75%.. As most people that finish uni have no f***ing idea what to do when you have to put all that theory into practice because most of the degree is done by reading a text book.. Whereas tafe is mainly competency based assessment, where you do the theory and then put the theory into practice...

Of course some uni courses are an exception, such as nursing..

You are right there are many exceptions.
I have a Bachelor of Social Work and a Bachelor of Education.In both cases there is extensive practical experience which is not of the watching kind.
Another point I would like to make is that University is not only there to train ppl for employment.That was the original role of TAFE colleges.Universities have a broader role of education and research
