What Goal kickers are on the Market

I'd like to try and coax De Vere down, but he wouldn't come last year so he probably wouldn't come this year. El Masri is still the guy to go for.

El Masri for me.

Pay him $180K-$220K. He's worth an average of a 12 point + differential per game I reckon...

Thankfully for us, Cronulla have withdrawn from the El Masri race.

Who wants a player that's sole purpose is to kick goals and has absolutely NOTHING else in his arsenal, except as a grubber chaser. Watch him take a run from anywhere on the field, he ALWAYS ends up in the middle of the park, regardless.

And before Dimitri comes on and cries racism, I like the guy, I reckon he's a good bloke and is a good role model, but christ, he cannot play.

Do you really think he'd be in firsts if he couldn't goal-kick?

Exactly the same was said about Halligan.

He's in firsts because he can goal kick. Reick is in firsts because he can run. Nuts is in firsts because he can tackle. Noddy is in firsts because he is a brilliant playmaker - and NOT because he can kick goals.

Fact is, a good all-round team can carry a bloke who may not be the best winger in the comp. BUT, a bloke who is an average winger may more than occasionally save a game for his team if he pots 8 from 8, as oppposed to the other bloke kicking 3 or 4 from 8.

How many games has El Masri (and Halligan before him) WON for the Dogs, as opposed to the games the dogs have LOST due purely through defensive lapses or poorly executed attacking opportunites of either of these players?

In any case, if we're out of the race then we're out of the race. I haven't seen that in print anywhere though, so I don't think it's over yet.

I hope we aernt out of the race, I would love to have El Masri, as Ive said before we are a great attacking and try scoring team, with the ability to kicking goals from everywhere we would be getting an extra 6+ points per game.

Hmm... we dont have a goalkicker.... so we need that......

Oh and he is a grubber chaser! That would be good considering we have the best short kicking halfback in the competition in Kimmorely!
