What if Lui can learn to tackle ??

So . . . what if they can teach Lui to tackle ?

Is there enough to build on ?

Yes. Definitely.

He is a good runner of the footy. He can pass it and he has a good kicking game.

He isn't Benji but I think Benji is basically the best player in the game. Lui is good enough if he turns his defensive game around and he doesn't make too many mistakes in attack.

Lui is a very good attacking footballer and is still very young to boot. He also CAN tackle he just has an issue with his defensive mentality. He doesn't like to put his body on the line. He will mature with more collisions.

I thought he played one of his better games of the season tonight. His kicking was effective and he made some effective tackles. For the amount of time he has been given at first grade though you would want to see some more consistent improvement.

He actually missed more tackles than normal tonight, the difference being the team structure and line speed meant it didn't matter if he dropped off as there was no where to go. Problem being, the one time the right side didn't move up, Morris strolled in. We can't defend like that all season - we'll run out of puff.

I really don't see anything more than a hole runner. Considering we have Benji, and presumably a full back to come in, I don't think we need to waste the most important position on the field on a guy who can't set up trys, or tackle.

Yeah every tackle was like three or four blokes trying to enter a doorway all at once, Lui always entered last, but he was there

In today's Tele, there is a 1/2 page picture of Robert Lui actually tackling Morris(or Jblow Moz Job, as the dragons fans call him).

I know guy with commercial digital printer. I'm gonna run off a limited issue of 250 of this picture, frame them, number them and flog them off for $150 each.

Memorabilia of Lui tackling. In 5 years, blokes will be looking at this framed masterpiece in the local pub . . . rubbing their chins deep in thought, and remembering the night that Lui made a tackle. :lol::lol:

To be honest tho he did make a few good tackles.

I thought he was very good last night. Often second or third man in, but was much improved in defence.

I have always maintained he is a very good player with ball in hand. He has a good running game, and his kicking game is far more consistent than both Farah and Marshall.
