What if

If Kemble was still the coach of the side, and made poor selection choices, came up with a terrible gameplan, and had a side on the park that looked like it had no skill or passion after the haka concluded, what would the fallout today be ?

Yet hardly a word has been spoken of all the above last night in regards to the poor choices Kearney and Bennett have made, with arguably a lot more at their disposal

They'd have lost by 50 if Kemble was involved. He would have been up in the stands laughing and enjoying himself (ala Wellington).

there didnt seem to be much of the Bennett influence, it was a typical kiwi hit and hope display, up the guts and hope for the best.

kearney had no excuses, answers or ideas as to what went wrong. not sure if thats a good thing or not.

i actually thought we defended very well, our 'stars' got bugger all ball though, so we didnt score any points..

seemed pretty simple at the time.

As I was watching Australias sweeping backline moves from deep with multiple options versus our pass along a flat back line until meeting the defence....I was thinking this surely cant be the coaching?!....Is this what Kearney has to offer?

It's a fair question to be asked...and I also agree as a fan of Bennett and his coaching ways at the Broncos etc, there seemed very little influence there. It seemed almost an attempt to play 'Storm' like, without the particular players to do it. In that respect very much like the NSW team this year...with yet another Storm influence.
However, I think we're past the point of no return now, and we have to press on with what we've got. The main reason I was frustrated was the fact this team IS better than that, SHOULD be better than that, and WILL be better than that. I'll reserve judgement ATM, it'll be interesting to see Aussie vs England. It'll be one hell of a let down if Aussie are really that far ahead of everyone-The most enjoyment in that regard will be the island teams vs each other then...and maybe the matchup Kiwis vs England-See if the Kiwis go better than the tour.
