What does the club do next year if the first grade side is down the bottom of the table again under Ando and the Premier League side under Raper is in the top 4. I'm not talking at the end of the season I'm talking in the first 1\\4 to 1\\2 of the season. Do they bite the bullet and give Ando the flick and promote Raper to First Grade and try to get into the 8 or not. Just wondering.

I believe alot of the players will view nuff raper as not much more than a whiteanter, and i think if he was appointed head coach, it would take more than just a few "heel clicks" to gain the respect of the majority of players......particulary the senior ones....

I'll support him if the board give him the gig.......but i hardly see him as the "super coach" that alot would love to believe...

If they're going to restructure the coaching staff though, it HAS to be before season 2004 kickoff! Changing coaches midseason would be detrimental.............We would offically take the crown of "joke of the league" that souths hold so close to their hearts..........

I don't see the one we have as the "super coach" that alot would love to believe... either ;-)

I agree about the pre-season change thing though, but it may not happen. Hell, I don't know what to believe any more. The Tele says "everything is fine". The sun says He has been issued with his third notice and it is a matter of time. CA said he isn't going anywhere and even had a beer with Sludge on friday night and is looking forward to next year...

I just don't know what to believe any more... :?

Well IMO as we saw yesterday you can't always blame the coach.
Look at Lang,No GF win for the sharks but 2 years with Penrith and bang!.
Don't get me wrongI'm no Anderson supporter.I hate what he has done to our(my) Club.
The Coach is the Tradesman,The players ,his Tools....Yeah he must know how to you use them but they have to be the right tools for the job first and formost.
Switching Coaches half way through a season won't improve the players on field talents but it may change their mindsets and make for a happier club which would reflect on the field too.
Lets wait and see what 2004 brings.I hope there is light at the end of the tunnel. :)

I just hope that with Anderson away on tour, Raper may be able to bring a new/different element to our team. I hope that his work will compliment that of the fulltime coach and not be detrimental.

I'm sure the majority of our players still have a hell of a lot of respect for Ando - lets just hope this turns into results on the field in 2004. ;-)

He might want to meet them first. At the GF luncheon Stuart sat way down the back with his old nuffy schoolmates and didn't come within 10 yards of the "official" tables all day.

I suppose there could be many reasons for that but it stuck out like dogzballz on the day.

That's exactly not what i was hoping for! Maybe he was told not to get too involved (for political reasons) with the players. Ando might feel as though he was getting the squeeze and crack the sh!ts again ;-)

It may be different once Ando is away. So long as the board let Ando know what is going on... and don't make him feel threatened about his position (because no one is going to perform under those circumstances). Hopefully those on the board that require spines will grow them in the off season...
