WHAT IS GOING ON????

Well peoples, I have been missing from the forum for the last 3 months as I have been travelling around Europe and am now settled in London. I can tell you, you dont hear alot of the NRL in Europe!!

I have been checking the results and looking at the boards now and then. I think I am so glad that I havent seen a game all year. The fact that I log on to the NRL web site and see that Parramatta is only 1 point away from last is an absolute disgrace.

I have seen a number of posts about player unmotivation, injuries and of course the usual discontent with the illustrious Head Coach of the Club and think to myself what the hell is going on over there. Surely the fact were the Club is now that the Coach would have been sacked at any other Club.

I have noticed that we have bought a few players for next year. I think Morrison has just about carried the Cowboys for years, Riddell and Tahu in the Centres might go OK, but in an unmotivating environment are they really players you want to have around. Paul Stringer seems like a good buy.

Does anyone know of anyone else that we have been chasing??

Do people think that 2005 will be a postive year with Smith still in control??

All I ask is what the hell has gone wrong in the last 3 year with this once great team???

PS - What has happened to guys like Ron Jeremy, I have not seen any posts from here on the boards in a while?

Munky.

You are not alone.

Bartman is also travelling Britain.
Hope you have a great time. I envy you guys, after having done it twice.

As for the Eels..........we are a disgrace.

Read on for the following weeks. WE ARE A JOKE AND WILL CONTINUE TO BE.

Hey Chipmunk. Left Sydney after Round One and am now settled in York! Ron Jeremy's still around somewhere. As for your questions: No, No (but I guess all we can do is hope), and Who Knows?

Two league newspapers League Weekly and League Xpress come out on Mondays (1 pound each), you might have to seacrh around different London newsagents to find them. Also Rubgy League World magazine out last Friday of the month.

Sky Sports TV channels for all your league games and shows, in sympathetic pubs if you find them. Only league show on free-to-air is 10:30am on BB2, but is probably only on up north through the regional relays. Oh, and broadband video files of all the NRL games are on the NRL-Telstra site 48 hours later if you can watch what the team has become of late.

Hi Chipmunk - hope the trip was a top[ one.

Answering your question...

1) Adam Dykes wants to go back to Cronulla. The goss is that we will release him if we can gain the release of another contracted NRL player. Having just jettisonned Vaealiki (Wigan) and Thorman (somewhere else in ESL), we reason tat the player must be a reasonable earner to justify it all. Some are suggesting Kimmorley, or Sean Long. I believe that PJ Marsh is closer to the mark, although I dunno why he would be worth that much. If Dykes goes, we have bugger all in the halves to go onto next season with.

2) I think everyone is now yearning Smith's sacking, apart from the typical dingbats in female clothing and the Fitzy stalkers who make excited diary notes when they cross paths. If only they woke up early last year when a few of us could see what was really happening! As it stands, 2005 will be a pathetic waste like the last 3 have been.

3) Brian SMith, Denis Fitzgerald, and too many supporters who would prefer to see those 2 employed than Parra win.

Daniel Wagon at 5/8 ( Memo Brian - there is a reason why Terry Randall, Bunny Reilly and Axe Gillmeister were never all time great five eights!)

Never once did he play a half in 7 with a 5/8 in 6 this year. Thorman, a classic 5/8 in the making, has been either a half - with NO other organiser in the team - or a hooker. Last half of the last game v Wests Tigers, Corey Pearson was playing halfback. No, I haven't missed my medication. Corey Pearson was halfback! (Memo Brian - there is a reason why Arthur Beetson, Noel Kelly, Lurch O'Neill and Bob O'Reilly were never all time great halfbacks!)

Oh yeah, I know York, I actually went there a few years ago.

Yes, I have been catching up on alot of League since getting to London, but didnt really here anything whilst I was in mainland Europe. I am hoping to get the Sky on at home here in London soon. I think those Rugby League magazines would be as rare as hens teeth down here in the South, but I will keep a look out.

Are there any other Parra Boardsters over here in the UK then??
