Milford must be on the outer. There is no way they can fit him under the cap . The Sharks tried hard to get Gillet but failed so he is also on big money

@Knight76 Free will still exists bro, he could've have stayed at 'nulla.

The cap does spread talent, where did the Titans #7 come from again?

Brisbane U20's/reserves was playing 3rd or 4th choice behind the international half back and Nikorima so had to move to get a run in top grade.

Not to worry, when he left the Broncs were able to replace their 2nd or 3rd string option with some no name called Benji for 100k.

But sure, the cap works.

(Violins playing in the background).

The irony is u could have kept Granville, Taylor and Norman for less than u have put into Milford and Bird.

- Norman was arguably 2nd or 3rd string behind Hunt and Nikorima and was playing well below potential under the great Wayno.. the fact he was a winger who filled in at fb showed the Broncos had no idea of what they had. Lucky Brad Arthur saw something.
- Given the above Ash Taylor wasnt even on old Waynos radar. He was too busy raiding other clubs and chasing MILFs.
- Granville same. Never reached his potential at the Broncos and was always 2nd behind McCullough which makes 2015 so ironic.

So on truth, while the Broncos were busy raiding the talent at other clubs, they let 3 gems go from under their nose because they didnt know a good thing when they saw it.

Lets not mention that not only do they have money but the entire Brisbane metro junior league talent pool to themselves. This is not through sound management but through a backroom deal done post Super League.

Well done Broncos, well done Wayne.

In truth the frustration is only targetted at the Broncs cause a lot of their supporters show no humility, but this is really due to the weak NRL admin and their fear of Rupert. A strong NRL would tear the Broncos a new one and they would go from being fringe 8 with all the perks to bottom of the table with none...

Continue to write your own narrative, but at least get some facts straight (Norman never played under Bennett and had 28 games to prove himself at 5/8 ;))

The Broncs would have kept all those players had they not been plucked due to better offers elsewhere, the rest of your post is nonsense and frankly paranoid.

Fair point on Norman re Bennett as coach. But you did jokingly refer to him as a "nuffie" in your post above and then say he had 28 hames to prove himself in the halves but never could. Ironic he is prob in the top 5 in the game after he left Brisbane?

The others left because the Broncos preferred to throw money at others in front of them. You don't sign Milford what happens to Ash Taylor? You did and he went to play first grade.

Do u really think with a 2nd Brisbane team, shared home ground , games on days other than beginning with and F you might not come back to the field a little. Hardly paranoia. Head put of the sand mate.

If the NRL fear Murdoch why did they bend over the Storm after the salary cap fiasco.

Either way, this is going off-topic. Bird is a Bronco and his best position is still bottom until he leaves the Sharks.

Read about that as well. The got the blessing from News to bend over the Storm before they did the deed.

But fair enough. Bird is a winner and a handy pick up whoever gets him in whatever position. He showed that the last 2 years at Cronulla.

The Knights were the favourites for Bird's signature until Brisbane came in with a four-year, $4 million offer. It's understood Bird was poised to commit to the Knights until a large third-party deal came through to sweeten the Broncos deal.

Lolz, I wonder how much of that large TPA that came through is counted in their cap? Surely the NRL salary cap auditor would be looking in to that comment. Of course we know how it works.

The Broncs have chucked their toys from the pram though over the sharks making the announcement for them. How dare they steal the Broncos thunder.

Almost makes you sick. No way is there fairness in NRL

Although knowing Jack personally (before he hit the big stage) he's always wanted to play for Brisbane and they've been trying to snare him since he was 16. It was because of his injuries at that age they didn't really bother but always knew his potential at a young age

Most of the talent from the Broncos has been produced by them. The notion of "Broncos raiding talent from other clubs" does not stack up considering they have more talent that is produced from their own backyard then other clubs have around the league.

Also as posted earlier Broncos matched the Eels offer for Corey Norman, but then the Eels topped their offer to Norman by $50 000 and the Broncos didn't have room to go any further. If Broncos lose a player "Broncos didn't know what they had" and if Broncos sign a player "Broncos don't have a salary cap" can't have it both ways.
