What is Sticky playing at...............

he takes 2 halves to Qld, one that was clearly injured last week, and a youngster that is more than worthy of a chance at the big time.
He uses 15 men in the first half, isnt that why we take 4 reserves.....to use them???

The players are being put in different positions every week, and therefore are unable to find out exactly where they gel.

Comon Ricky, give me 3 weeks in you position and let me see if I can do any better, I sure as hell cant do any worse.

Oh and for the record.

oh and I forgot a major part of this winning thing.

put Walker back in premier league.

I was a pro-walker fan for a long time, hated the fact that everyone gives him shit when at time he is clearly trying.
No more, he is a liability, he is a clutz and he should not be on the wing. We have plenty of talent in the lower grade to fix that problem too.

Like you I was prepared to give him a chance but frankly he's a dud.

I fear that Bee-sting head has too much power at our club. He has a record of keeping back the younger players for "experienced" players. While i'd love to see Soward play in firsts, i dont believe Ricky will be allowed to do it. Prove me wrong bee-sting, for the love of christ, prove me wrong.

You know why the Broncos are so successful? They have no fear of blooding young, talented players. Reputation means nothing to Bennett. We do and it will kill us.

guys i cannot agree more, we looked out of our depth against a quality team and we are meant to be quality

look at the calibre of players we have, our forwards are probably the best in the league but without halves you dont have a team

ricky has to understand and he should as he is a former great half, no joe off the street can just be a half or 5/8, it requires skill and talent and most importantly vision. therefore amos has to go  back to the wing

our problem against nth qld were in the first 20min we were pressuring their line again and again and just couldnt score POINTS!!! we need a halves that can get us points, we seem to leak them so at least can we start scoring them

oh and did u see the footage of walker just watching sing bat it back in field and just stand their like a stunned mullet! walker has to go go go

Our forwards are struggling. The years of toil and high workrate and non stop playing are catching up with Fitzy.

Ricko is in the same boat and is a bit older now.

Morley has had that explosive edge taken from his game and it has been replaced with a workrate player. Cayless has gone great this year asx has Tupou and Hannant. I would start Hannant every week. Tupes on the bench. Maybe it is time to sit back and admit we bought a few wrong players and build for the future around Soward and Finch in the 6 and 7 and Wing in the 9. Sure we might miss the 8 this year but the investment might be worth it.

Same can be said out wide. If you think Walker is bad Joel Monaghan is worse. Go back to the last try against Saints and watch his effort with Matt Cooper. His effort against Wests Tigers Pat Richards. He offers nothing at least Walker goes looking for the ball. We have a great bunch of youngsters at our club and it would be a disgrace if they left due to lack of opportunities whilst some poorer players are playing firsts.

This is Ricky's first real big test as our coach and I hope for the future he gets it right.

have to agree southern rooster
even though i rate our forwards
it is obvious fitzy is up against the wall at the moment, an over playing in the last 2 -3 years... 26 rounds 4 finals matches, test matches, 3 origin games and tri nations have lead to the most valuble forward in the nrl feeling the pinch

ricko is growing old and is proving a waiste of space. He thinks he is a half and is creating issues for us around the ruck, flannery would be much better suited at lock however it seems he will be leaving us at the end of the year

I doubt it. I think Flannery will stay. The Roosters actually look like a stale football side with no direction at present. They actually look a lot Brisbane did in 2001 after they had, had a great little period from 1997-2000 and they lost a few players and had some coming off long rep and GF seasons.

this is the team we should aim towards this year, hopefully also soliola can recover so we can move flannery back closer to the ruck. We may not have much chance this year, but if we give them the experience now, they may come good next year. And yeah, if we can pick up a replacemnt for walker, i wouldnt be complaining.

1. minichiello
2. walker (i know)
3. monahagn  flannery (i know but he just cant defend)
4. cross
5. roberts
6. soward (come on someone else will pinch him if we dont blood him soon)
7. finch (still our best halfback)
8. Cayless
9. wing
10. Hannant
11. Fitzy (shouldnt play entire games anymore, looks like an average forward who can kick)
12. Ricko
13. Moz
14. Tupou
15. Catic
16. Crocker
17. Webb

Southern,

I agree with what youre saying except for one thing. Firman will be around for a lot longer than Finch. It has to be Firman and Soward. Firman is the perfect foil for Soward, as Soward calls the shots at Firman in Premier League anyway.

I dont agree there melon...........

Firman will see alot of his time at roosters in premier league, soward and finchy will be the best combination in the league for years to come.
And Finch WILL be a rooster for a long time, of this I have no doubt.

Hmm, interesting thought on Firman and Finch Melon...

"Firman will be around for a lot longer than Finch. It has to be Firman and Soward. Firman is the perfect foil for Soward, as Soward calls the shots at Firman in Premier League anyway."

Brett Finch is going into contract talks as Saab said I envision it being at least a 2-3 year deal with Brett Finch to adorn the 7 jersey during that period. I make no secret about my admiration for the Sydney Rooster club and I make the effort to not only watch their games but attend the Aussie Stadium games when I can...

IMO, the Roosters have looked a lot better with Finch calling the shots for this team, Stuart is Finch fan and I think it will be a matter of the five-eight adapting to Finch not vice versa.
