I was born at Westmead Hospital. I have Scottish, English, Chinese, Hungarian & Austrian heritage.

My father was born in Hong Kong but moved over here when he was 15, whilst my mother was born here and her ancestors have been here since I don't know when.

It should be quite interesting to know what sort of background other forumers have.

Hungarian & Romanian.

I'm first generation Australian. My folks came here in 57 escaping through Yugoslavia and landing in Melbourne, then on to Adelaide where the family settled.

My father, grandfather and great grandfather were all born in Australia, but their ancestors are English.

My mum was born in England which is where her ancestry lies.

well if you go back far enough I have scottish, irish and english ancestry

but you have to go back pretty far - the english side of my family tree (from my maternal grandfather) goes back to the first fleet (I was devestated to learn that it was a soldier not a convict)

The irish side (my maternal grandmother) is from good convict stock - with the earliest arrival coming in on the third fleet.

My fathers parents are scottish on both sides and the most recent arrivals - but I think its still 3 or 4 generations from them.
