Pasty white boy through and through. Enlgish (Hawken) on my Dad's side, originally from a small village in Cornwall called St. Tudy. An flame-haired Irishman (my great great grandfather, if memory serves) married into the family, hence the Irish surname, and my son's ranga-ness. I believe the Maher family hails from county Tipperwary, and that it's a fair clip with a sweet lass waiting at journey's end.
On Mum's side, grandmother was a Wallis, with familoy roots in northern England somewhere. She died in 1959, so know very little about her. Pop was as Scottish as a Scottish Terrier that has just slipped on a puddle of scotch whiskey spilt by a red-haired bagpipe player and crashed into a haggis caught in a thistle. A Cameron.
A good combo. I like how you say Cornish rather than English.
