The Killer - Good grief this was boring. John Wick movies have more depth than this did... Was looking forward to it too with it being David Fincher and Fassbender.

The Creator - my god it's hard to watch anything coming out of Hollywood these days. This is boring as all get out based mostly on the fact there's no tension, no build up, just paint by numbers film making at its worst. The enemy are even more useless than Stormtroopers and going deep behind enemy lines is like a jaunty trip in the country. I gave up after an hour or so, it was just getting more stupid and pointless. It's a similar story to The Golden Child I guess but Eddie Murphy is way more entertaining than this crap. I usually love anything sci-fi and I know I should watch it all the way through before passing judgement but life's too short. 4/10

Equalizer 3
- Denzel is a terrific actor, puts his heart and plenty of talent into any role he's given and he does that here despite the highly improbable scenario and impossible character he's asked to play. Can't complain too much, it's an enjoyable watch, a boys'own fantasy with lots of action and a nice pay off at the end. The first two films were both better but this one is solid enough. 7/10

I find it pretty funny that some people are going on about Napoleon for historical inaccuracy. I don’t think there is any Hollywood productions based of history that would be 100% correct. Real history is complex. The movie was entertaining the battle scenes were epic.

I didn't know people were going on about it for historical accuracy, but I thought it was pretty average (disappointingly as Scott is usually pretty spot on), Phoenix was distractingly miscast, and the battle scenes were fairly decent but too short to be epic - they did the Vikings/GoT things of cutting away from the battle's quite often.

That's exactly what my sister said after she went and saw it. She enjoyed it.

I'm planning to go see it Friday afternoon.

Godzilla minus one. 8. really enjoyed it. Acting was a bit poor but I'm not sure it wasn't meant to be. Could have been 20-30 mins shorter with the relationship stuff dragging a bit, but when Godzilla was on screen it was great, particularly when he was in the water. I think on land they were trying to pay homage to original with a man in a bad suit.

Very end dropped a half a point of my rating.

Saltburn. 8. Interesting character study. Good acting as always with Barry Keoghan. Had some funny bits. Can't really say too much about the story other than a rich college kid takes his poor friend home for the summer.

watched Rebel Moon last night.

I can see why its being panned, good visuals but so painfully unoriginal. It's like Snyder has stolen from other movies in almost every scene.

I think the slow mos are the absolute worst things about it. The derivative story is okish when you go in knowing it is going to be.

Nb: I'm not a Snyder fan outside of 300. This was better than any of his DC films but as you say it's easy to see why it's being panned.

Dungeons & dragons. Enjoyable movie even though I have no idea about the game/lore. Funnier than I expected.

The Fablemans. Steven Spielberg movie based somewhat on his childhood. I had a look after watching this and this is only the 2nd new Spielberg movie I’ve watched in the last 10 years (7 movies - I have seen Ready Player One). I really need to catch up on the other ones because this was a really good film and I am a Spielberg fan. Just find it hard sometimes to sit and watch more serious movies because I need to be able to watch them uninterrupted (which is difficult).

I just wanted to say, there are many films and TV shows where they some IT genius who just breaks through firewalls of governments and corporations.

Such bullshit.

They try 24x7.

They get repelled, rarely caught, but when you see a show that takes 2 seconds to break into the NSA, just f**k off.

That happened in a Harlan Coben series I watched on Netflix this week.
Also they've always got some "friend" in the Govt/Police or friend of a friend hacker who owes them a favour and can look classified shit up for them.
And there's the cracking of random peoples computer passwords on the 3rd attempt.
Not to mention the ability to pick locks, open safes, hotwire cars and even fly planes and choppers. The list goes on.

Sometimes I fall asleep watching a B grade film on YouTube and wake up later with a different one playing.

Ninja Cheerleaders.....wow, so bad it made me laugh.
