It will be a very different side this year thats for sure.

Hindmarsh, Lyon, Bailey, Barrett, Ryles, Tahu (probably), Gidley, Johns, Kennedy (probably), Timmins, Stevens, Tate, Hegarty (possibly), Croker, Gasnier (probably).

These guys have all or are about to be ruled out injured. Seeing as this has been the bulk of the Test side for the past few years its a big chunk of players gone.

I suppose people are gonna start to think that I've moved on from bagging Toopi to Villa, but let's get this clear- I think Villa is a very good player.

However, out of all the props mentioned he should be dead last, if I was any one of the other props (except maybe Skandalis) I'd be very offended if they picked Villa before me.

Why weren't you all putting him in your teams in 2001 or 2002 when he was behind Mark Tookey at the Warriors and only getting a go off the bench? And are you forgetting that he missed half this season with injury? Or that 3 of his last 4 games (Tigers, Raiders, Panthers) he has had shockers?

At the moment he is a deadset 5 second wonder and hasn't done anything to compare to the other props on the list.

And aqua duck- Jonah Lomu?! Lomu is the absolute shiznit, nobody will ever compare to him.

He is too small to be an effective front rower. i don't doubt his toughness but Morley will chew him up and spit him out.

This is an extremely odd comment, especially considering that at 100kg Morley is one of the NRL's smallest front rowers.

Morley is a second rower and can pretty much smash anyone, as Villasanti found out last year.

Anyone want an avatar bet O'Hara will get picked ahead of O'Meley? When the two sides last met O'Hara was a clear winner and O'Hara also finished in front of Villasanti in their last meeting.

Rhino is on the tour, I guarantee it.

Here is the profile of O'Meley:

Name: Mark Robert O’Meley.
Born: 22 May 1981, West Wyalong, NSW
Weight: 100kg
Height: 180cm

He is one of the smallest front rowers in the NRL.

Here is the profile of O'Hara:

Born: 18 Aug 1980, Sydney, NSW
Weight: 108kg
Height: 188cm

Big difference me thinks. 8cm taller and 8kg heavier is a massive difference ib both height and weight.

^^I was so proud of our pack in the Warriors game, cos we belted the shit outta Villa. He hit us a couple of times with big shots, but he was constantly smashed by Davico, O'Hara, Wiki, etc. Even Tyran put in a couple of big hits in that game. And Frank Endacott was on TV last night saying that would of took a huge toll on the Warriors pack, and may have contributed to their eventual elimination.

Well said, our pack really stood up against the warriors, where was the kick off king (the warriors unit) i cant remember him making a dent

bah, you are such a joke!

round 25 - raiders 21, bulldogs 16

minutes
omeley 55
ohara 54

tackles
omeley 29
ohara 25

no penalties conceded

missed tackles
omeley 1
ohara 3

line breaks
omeley 1
ohara 0

hitups/runs
omeley 17
ohara 16

no dummy half runs

metres gained
omeley 143
ohara 101

errors
omeley 1
ohara 0

offloads
omeley 0
ohara 1

no kicks

tries
omeley 1
ohara 0

so omeley makes 1 error and ohara has 1 offload, i think omeleys line break and try more than makes up for that and omeley wins EVERY other category... in a losing side

and if you want further embarrasment i'll post the round 7 stats from their meeting before that

stats arnt everything champ, watch the game, anyone coudl see that O'Hra played much better than O'mealy on that night...... Just like O'hara played all over Villa

O'Mealy can run at Brad Drew and make a line break whist O'hara run through the middle and makes 15 metres, i think i know which one is the better run, but thats not represented in the stats

see my point

omeley was busy making 35 tackles while racking up 153 metres on 17 hitups, with 2 offloads, a line break and a try :!:

what more do you want :?:

we wont mention his 4 errors, 8 missed tackles and a penalty conceded tho

Personally I'd prefer O'Meley over O'Hara.

And I'd prefer them both miles ahead of the massively over-hyped Villasanti.

Also Raider_69, while I agree with most of what you said, I certainly do remember Palea'aesina's ("the kick-off specialist") impact on the game. He ran straight at O'Hara and nearly knocked him into the stand.

as i recall they both almost knocked each other out of the stadium.... besides at least o hara got up and it certinally stops Palea'aesina in his tracks, first time ive seen that all year

and savage, o mealy shate on no one, watch the game and see who had the bigger impact, O'Hara owned him, like he has owned most props all year
