Poor old Nuffy!! the poor fool probably hasn't slept for about 2 days due to his mate signing with us! :roll: for gods sake get over it!!

Forget about whats been happening on the field this year one of our clubs greatest concerns is the ability to attract a big crowds at home! this with the lack of free time air will be a great concern for our sponsers who may be thinking twice about injecting funds into the club next season.

The signing of Riddell, Tahu and co could well be of great benefit on the park and off it! they are a very marketable players who could attract the fairwhethers back to our games, new members and sponsers wanting to use those blokes to market their products.

I dare say there will also be an increase in merchandise sale especially jerseys with Tahu and Riddell's name plastered on the back.

Those blokes have the ability to do a bit more than set up a try! they could well help wake the sleeping giant thats been in hibernation for three seasons. The hype has well and truly begun for next season, I hope it doesn't go over the top however we could well of lost more than 700K if we never signed those blokes up after the season we've had and are having, the manegement had to bite the bullet and invest in players that would do more than just rings around the opposition.

This time last year we were all wetting ourselves about how 2004 was going to be the year of the Eels with our "big, ugly forwards" recruitment drive and a young halfback named Michael Witt would lead the Eels back to glory

Not getting carried away this time...let's see if these good players can work together and be a great team...but here's hoping!! 8)

I remember earlier this year, pre Origin 1, Hindy & Tahu were at Peter Wynn's signing autographs etc. All the chicks were wetting themselves over Tahu, it was quite funny. Hindy & Tahu were sitting together and I remember saying at the time that I hope Hindy's in his ear telling him how great a club Parra is.....funny how things turned out hey

Last year I felt our only major forward signing was Cannings, and to that point he was relatively green. This year already we have Riddell, Stringer and Robinson, and possibly Morrison on the way, so I think we are looking better on the forward front by far... ugly forwards or not.
