I know we have had a few threads on the possible makeup of the 2005 team bt since the last one a few other names ahve been throw in and there has been some discussion about the value of some signings and the value of some we have resigned.

I would be interested in what others think is the plan thats being worked for next year, the team makeup and how the players will be used. This would not only be the proposed starting 17 but those in PL that are the injury pool.

Whats the Plan? (Is there a Plan!!!)

Score more tries.

Concede less tries.

I'll think of a better plan shortly - but I think that's the basics of it downpat.

Well I'll tell you right now what the plan should be.

Firstly hit the ground running with a defensive game plan that will shake things up.
To do that they need to get rid of this stupid high tackling no moving up bullshyte.
If it means the opposition offloads & scores, good on them. if they are good enough, let them score their trys wide out.

A rotation policy needs to be in place to rest our players(forwards) if injuries dont force rotations. Includes in this getting our forwards to play some games for at least 60 minutes. Playing a season of 40 minutes or less is a bad habit IMO.

Sully starts.

Kicking. A special skills coach needs to get our kicking in order. Big time. Our kicking game is the worst in the competition.
Dykes to look after grubbers.
BK to look after corner bombs.
Bird to look at clearing kicks.
Merrit to handle drops & kicks for touch.
we need to ensure our kicking game is good for 5 repeat sets per game.

Running game.
Some deeper cleaner ball for the centres at times.

You don't think maybe we should mix it up a little for fear of becoming a bit... obvious?

I dont think it can get more mixed up & than that!
or was that your point.

We are on the line, BK receives it(will he corner bomb) passes to Dykes(will he grubber) passes to Vagana for a Mellor try.

I remember we had some plans for 2004 as well. But I do like that idea of resting players from a full 80 min . Looking at the whole year is hard for a coach when uve lost 7 in a row though.

We need more than one option on downfield kicks. Bird on one side of the ruck, Dykes on the other for mine.

So you've gone from saying
BK is the best in the comp at finding space
to
That comment was slightly exaggerated
to
Well OK he's not the best at finding space!

Thanks for that input
I'll take it on board!

I have said that my original comment was pruposely exaggerated but YOU failed to see that, of course he is not #1 at finding space #-o . Then, I have explained how your comment :

He was good at finding space between Slater's arms on the weekend

Was a iscolated incident due to his return from injury ;-)
