What's with all the Gould hating?

There are so many threads here with people whinging about him.
Youd think the way he expresses his well informed opinions and shares with us the insight that made him such a great coach would be welcomed, but aparently not.

Instead we get threads like

I can understand if you dont like him, but really, some of you just take it too far.
I wonder how some of you function in society if you freak out this much whenever someone gives their opinion.

Phil Gould is one of few in the media that actually knows what hes on about. I reckon most of the people who hate him have no clue about the game.. if you did you'd know what he saying makes perfect sense.

I will admit at times some of his comments (mainly the ones aimed at Brisbane) get on my nerves.. but hes generally on the not far off the mark..

I think, renouf, it is more the way he puts his opinion across the annoys people. He has a certain cockyness in his voice that says "i know all". He is obvoiusly very in touch with the game but he does have a tendency of carring on a bit, especially when something he predicted happens.
