Everyone needed a good long break after two kick-ass tours (G3 and USA Attack Tour), and Yngwie is spending his time playing tennis, hanging out with his family, and creating music. "

Has anyone heard that mp3 of him threatening to kill a woman who accidentally spills her drink on him during a flight to Tokyo? It's hilarious, the guy's ego is bigger than his stomach, believe it or not.

Whilst i have to agree i do wish i could play like malmsteen, i disagree about your comments on vai and satch.

If you watch the g3 in denver concert i think both vai and satch are more versatile. If malmsteen plays that same bloody scale run once more in that concert i think the whole audience will know it themselves!

However he did show a nice change with his accoustic piece.

So whilst i like Malmsteen, he can be very very very repetative and when doing a guitar show to keep a crowd entertained you either have to be versatile or do David lee Roth style kicks and swing your guitar around whilst playing the same runs. Yngwie chose the latter in the particular concert.

I've not had the luxury of seeing the G3 DVD yet. I'm a big fan of his earlier stuff. After Live in Leningrad he's gone downhill. That's the last live performance I've seen of his and I wasn't impressed. His Live in Tokyo in 85 when he supported Quit Riot was awesome.

Fair enough, if you area guitar enthusiast the Denver G3 is better than the first one they released with Eric Johnson instead of Yngwie.

Sure I'd like to have the guy's technical skills, but if being a fat, egotistical euro-wiener with a propensity for writing embarrasing masturbatory cheese instead of decent songs, then I'll pass thanks.
