With only 4 games remaining, there is still plenty of competition for a top 8 berth. Here's how the table stacks up at the moment:

<table bordercolor=#000000 cellspacing=1 cellpadding=1 border=1> <tbody> <tr> <td>1</td> <td>EELS</td> <td>34</td></tr> <tr> <td>2</td> <td>BULLDOGS</td> <td>31</td></tr> <tr> <td>3</td> <td>KNIGHTS</td> <td>29</td></tr> <tr> <td>4</td> <td>SHARKS</td> <td>28</td></tr> <tr> <td>5</td> <td>BRONCOS</td> <td>27</td></tr> <tr> <td>6</td> <td>ROOSTERS</td> <td>23</td></tr> <tr> <td>7</td> <td>DRAGONS</td> <td>22</td></tr> <tr> <td>8</td> <td>WARRIORS</td> <td>21</td></tr> <tr> <td>9</td> <td>Storm</td> <td>20</td></tr> <tr> <td>10</td> <td>Northern Eagles</td> <td>20</td></tr> <tr> <td>11</td> <td>Wests Tigers</td> <td>17</td></tr> <tr> <td>12</td> <td>Raiders</td> <td>15</td></tr> <tr> <td>13</td> <td>Cowboys</td> <td>11</td></tr> <tr> <td>14</td> <td>Panthers</td> <td>10</td></tr></tbody></table>
Now this is what I think will happen to the table come the end ofR26: <table bordercolor=#000000 cellspacing=1 cellpadding=1 border=1> <tbody> <tr> <td>1</td> <td>EELS</td> <td>40</td></tr> <tr> <td>2</td> <td>KNIGHTS</td> <td>35</td></tr> <tr> <td>3</td> <td>BULLDOGS</td> <td>35</td></tr> <tr> <td>4</td> <td>BRONCOS</td> <td>31</td></tr> <tr> <td>5</td> <td>SHARKS</td> <td>30</td></tr> <tr> <td>6</td> <td>ROOSTERS</td> <td>27</td></tr> <tr> <td>7</td> <td>WARRIORS</td> <td>27</td></tr> <tr> <td>8</td> <td>STORM</td> <td>26</td></tr> <tr> <td>9</td> <td>Dragons</td> <td>26</td></tr> <tr> <td>10</td> <td>Northern Eagles</td> <td>24</td></tr> <tr> <td>11</td> <td>Wests Tigers</td> <td>21</td></tr> <tr> <td>12</td> <td>Raiders</td> <td>17</td></tr> <tr> <td>13</td> <td>Panthers</td> <td>14</td></tr> <tr> <td>14</td> <td>Cowboys</td> <td>11</td></tr></tbody></table> This is a bad thing if you are a Warriors fan. I think you could write off the Warriors taking any further part in the finals series if; a] They had to face The Knights @ Marathon.
b] They had to face The Broncos @ ANZ. Now if the Warriors were to finish with a better points differential than the Roosters, they wouldhave a better chance against the Doggies. However, this all relies on the Warriors only losing one more game. I would say that they'll either lose to the Sharks at home, or the Storm away.

I think 8th spot will come down to the warriors and the storm. I am biased but I think the broncs will get us this weekend but we will win 2 of our last 3 games.

Oops, forgot to put the Finals Series on:

<table bordercolor=#000000 cellspacing=1 cellpadding=1 border=1> <tbody> <tr> <td>1st vs 8th </td> <td>Eels vs Storm @ Parra</td> <td> Eels win, Storm eliminated</td></tr> <tr> <td>2nd vs 7th</td> <td>Knights vs Warriors @ Marathon</td> <td>Knights win, Warriors eliminated</td></tr> <tr> <td>3rd vs 6th</td> <td>Bulldogs vs Roosters @ Showgrounds</td> <td>Bulldogs win, Roosters lose</td></tr> <tr> <td>4th vs 5th</td> <td>Broncos vs Sharks @ ANZ</td> <td>Sharks win, Broncos lose</td></tr></tbody></table>

I forget how the McIntyre System goes from here, so just bear with me:
<table bordercolor=#000000 cellspacing=1 cellpadding=1 border=1> <tbody> <tr> <td>Bulldogs vs Broncos</td> <td>Bulldogs win, Broncos eliminated</td></tr> <tr> <td>Sharks vs Roosters</td> <td>Sharks win, Roosters eliminated</td></tr></tbody></table> <table bordercolor=#000000 cellspacing=1 cellpadding=1 border=1> <tbody> <tr> <td>Eels vs Sharks</td> <td>Eels win, Sharks eliminated</td></tr> <tr> <td>Knights vs Bulldogs</td> <td>Knights win, Bulldogs eliminated</td></tr></tbody></table> The Eels vs Sharks should have been the Grand Final, but we are left with a Eels vs Knights GF: EELS WIN the premiership. Let's put a new twist on it and have the Warriors finish 6th rather than 7th: <table bordercolor=#000000 cellspacing=1 cellpadding=1 border=1> <tbody> <tr> <td>1st vs 8th </td> <td>Eels vs Storm @ Parra</td> <td> Eels win, Storm eliminated</td></tr> <tr> <td>2nd vs 7th</td> <td>Knights vsRoosters @ Marathon</td> <td>Knights win,Roosters eliminated</td></tr> <tr> <td>3rd vs 6th</td> <td>Bulldogs vsWarriors @ Showgrounds</td> <td>Warriors win,Bulldogs lose</td></tr> <tr> <td>4th vs 5th</td> <td>Broncos vs Sharks @ ANZ</td> <td>Sharks win, Broncos lose</td></tr></tbody></table> <table bordercolor=#000000 cellspacing=1 cellpadding=1 border=1> <tbody> <tr> <td>Warriors vs Broncos</td> <td>Warriors win, Broncos eliminated</td></tr> <tr> <td>Sharks vs Bulldogs</td> <td>Sharks win,Bulldogs eliminated</td></tr></tbody></table> <table bordercolor=#000000 cellspacing=1 cellpadding=1 border=1> <tbody> <tr> <td>Eels vs Sharks</td> <td>Eels win, Sharks eliminated</td></tr> <tr> <td>Knights vs Warriors</td> <td>Warriors win,Knights eliminated</td></tr></tbody></table> Grand Final: Eels vs Warriors WARRIORS WIN THE PREMIERSHIP

A lot of the placings will come down to for and against. Newcastle and the Bulldogs will both finish on 35 but the Knights have a better for and against. Roosters and Warriors will both finish on 25 with the Roosters better for and against. Saints and the Storm will both finish on 24 with Saints having a better for and against.

All I know about the McIntyre System for the finals is that 1st plays 8th, 2nd plays 7th, blah blah blah.

Then if the 1st &amp; 2nd placed teams win, they get a week off.

I wouldn't have a clue what goes on after that.

Definitely. That's why I'm counting on the Warriors to put a 60 points scoreline on the Cowboys. They need to do that if they are going up against the Roosters on points differential.

At the moment, the Roosters are on 65 and the Warriors are on -15.

The way it works is the two lowest ranked losers are eliminated after week one and the top ranked side will always play the lowest ranked side. So after week one, if the top four sides were to lose, teams 3 and 4 would be eliminated etc.........You could have the possibilty of team 1 and team 8 facing off two weeks in a row if the top four sides lost and teams 5 and 6 would go straight to the GF qualifiers.

This is how it works, I'm sure
Using the 1999 finals as an example

WEEK ONE
1st v 8th - Cronulla (1st) d. Brisbane (8th)
2nd v 7th - Parramatta (2nd) d. Newcastle (7th)
3rd v 6th - Melbourne (3rd) lost to St George (6th)
4th v 5th - Roosters (4th) lost to Bulldogs (5th)

WEEK TWO
Winner 1 (Cronulla) through to week three
Winner 2 (Parramatta) through to week three
Loser 3 (Newcastle) eliminated
Loser 4 (Brisbane) eliminated
Knockouts
SF1: Winner 3 (Bulldogs) v Loser 1 (Melbourne) - Melbourne wins
SF2: Winner 4 (St George) v Loser 2 (Roosters) - St George wins

WEEK THREE
Knockouts
Parramatta v Winner SF 1 (Melbourne) - Melbourne wins
Cronulla v Winner SF 2 (St George) - St George wins

WEEK FOUR
Grand Final

Hope this helps
