When was the last time you looked forward to a game?

This is what annoys me.

Until we do the toxic environment and the noisy divided fans will continue irrespective of which stupid agenda-driven group (4P, Parralast etc) has been able to stack the board.

I don't even want to be discussing which stupid board members are in this year and who said what to who. I am a fan of my team, not my board.

If only some uber powerful, independent, respected leader could to come in and get things done do without being influenced by all that unimportant 'noise'. The 'noise' would soon quieten down and we could get on with the business of not being a laughing stock!

Unfortunately, it is unlikely that this will ever occur.

Talk about loving something to death.

Oi , us being shit had nothing to do with me merkin

Nothing beats the club I love play week in week out. A win is a bonus, and I never let a loss bring me down.

I'm sure parra will soon be a powerhouse club again. Let the fun times begin.

TBH I still look forward to games.

Only difference is I currently don't have Foxtel, and I sometimes can't be bothered to go to the Leagues Club to watch the games. But I still frantically check the scores and watch the replays on the NRL website when I can.

Any elected body's first responsibility is to ensuring it is re-elected. That means pandering to voters.

The fact that the club is still run like this with elections every two years is definately part of the problems of the Club.

Do other Clubs still operate like this?

I look forward to watching the Eels every week.
As a season ticket holder I still go to every home game and enjoy the experience.
I no longer expect to win. EVER. In fact it is the opposite - every match I am expecting to lose. If we win it is a surprise.

I can't not watch the Eels play. I love them too much to give up on them after a few dismal seasons. It has lessened my interest in the rest of the comp though. I used to watch every game, every week, but now I find myself just watching a couple of games and doing something else while the others are on. I'm just sick of seeing teams I hate keep winning (Souths, Storm, Canterbury, Manly) while my team languishes down the bottom.

One thing's for sure though - when we do finally dig ourselves out of this quagmire we have found ourselves in and start to become a force again, it will be that much sweeter knowing we have been to the depths of Hell and rose up out of it.

Exactly how I see it.

Then why say that "us fans get what we deserve"?

I reckon there would be a lot of other fans who share similar views to what I have posted. As with most thing things the 'noise' is generally only created by a small vocal minority.

(Sorry Noise for using your name in vain again!).

the gf rematch in 2010 after storm were stripped of their premierships. the last great victory this club has had. 24-10 i think. Hayne vs Slater aswell.

it lived up to the hype.

I still look back on that game as one of the most exciting I've ever seen.

Because it seems the only ones of us who could be bothered maintaining voting membership are the ones aligned to one or the other of these idiot factions.

Do you think smart, responsible fans are more or less likely to get involved in club politics?

Supporting a team week-in, week-out is a big enough investment as it is. Throw in families, work and the fact that a lot of people do not live locally and it precludes people from being involved in the politics.

In fact, even if they could there is nothing wrong with not wanting to be involved in all of that crap. Fans provide a valuable service as it is just being 'fans'.

Because of this, I am of the view that the majority of fans don't 'deserve' any the poor performances that have been served up by the club in recent years.

We can get f**ked. The fans can walk away at any time, and deserve what we get.

f**k our eyes.

That's right. It is parra fans such as Mr and Mrs Smith from Tweed Heads fault that our club is a joke. Not to mention John Citizen from Tamworth.

One of your best
