When you factor byes in...

When you put 2 byes in for every team the make up of the table changes quite a bit..
The SHARKS and dragons are helped the most moving to 6th and 7th while it hurts the cowboys who drop to 12th..

Ollie forget about the byes.
Just ignore them.

Just keep an eye on the win/loss ratios.

Those teams that have had the bye already might still win the extra game they have in hand. So this analogy that we will automatically catch up to all those teams when we have the buy is not 100%.

But it's good to have the buys in hand all the same.

i'm sick of people saying we still have the byes!

don't get me wrong, byes are great. especially in times of injuries and crucial games. 2 points is always handy. but the byes don't mean much when the teams above you keep winning games. effectively, you are worse off since their for/against is rising when yours is staying the same

well said nuffs, it is pointless us factoring the byes in.....sure its an extra 4 points but come semi time, we have got to have put the hard yards in

The good thing about the byes though is that we have them later in the year this year. It was hard to get a roll on last year with the 2 byes happening so early. Other than that I don't take them into account.
