Where does Nick Ghabar rank amongst Match Review Committee Lawyers?

Pffft. Denis Denuto could have got him off. It was a laughable charge and the match review committee needs sacking for it.

Denis Denuto did get him off. He's on Wighton's right....

HAHA, as soon as they gave the explanation why Ennis wasn't charged they set this farce up. Good thing is you can now go in with a full blown shoulder charge and get away with it as long as your arm/elbow is and inch or two from your body.

Well people got what they wanted.

The shoulder charge is back baby!

This.

If we're being serious, Wighton should've gotten 3 weeks and Ennis should've gotten 2. Having said that, im more than happy for both of them to get off if it means that the shoulder charge is back because lets face it, if neither of these are worthy of a suspension then nobody will ever be found guilty of a shoulder charge again.

I'm actually all for any action that reduces the likelihood of injury to players but an inconsistent application of an interpretation of a rule doesn't protect anyone.

If Ennis gets off obviously Wighton should too but realistically, they should have both been suspended.

NRL needs to work on the definition over the off season.

He'll be able to have his way with anyone from Canberra, but basically it was a slam dunk case.

Whoever got Price off for the finals in 2004 by arguing that he couldn't have meant to punch someone in the face since his eyes were shut takes the cake for me.

Travesty Burns lawyer gets prize for worst. Like 18 weeks for a regulation stiff arm

The Warriors might wanna hire this guy, Gubb's participation in a 3 man tackle 7 weeks ago barely resembled a shoulder charge compared to these two.

Wighton has done this on a few occasions this year when one on one with an attacking player. It's a ploy to try and hurt the opposite player and spill the ball. It's also going to end up seriously injuring someone in future.

On this current ridiculous definition of what constitutes a shoulder charge, you could mount a serious defence for the gold standard of shoulder charges. Arm looks to be away from the body to me

I agree - by removing shoulder charges as an offence

All they ever needed to do was stop people hitting people in the head. That's it. Simple. But no, they had to make an absolute f**king dogs breakfast of the whole thing and start talking about arm angles and distances from the body and f**k me dead - they're useless. No wonder people don't give a f**k about the game any more.

Except for the fact that most Warriors fans were over the moon he got banned. It stopped our foolish coach continuing to pick him for 6m a carry and three missed grasscutters a game.
