Which other NRL players are likely to succeed in the NFL?

Which NRL player other than Hayne is most likely to succeed in the NFL?

While the likes of RTS, Tedesco, Roberts, Ferguson are all phenomenal athletes, they're nothing compared to Hayne. Not even Inglis was as athletically gifted as Hayne. If I had to back someone it would be Semi Radradra, why? He's big, strong, fast, young and he learns fast. Inglis is a bit old now and he's had a few injuries so for me Semi gets the vote.

GI doesn't really have the speed for it anymore and I seriously doubt the NFL would recruit NYC payers, they don't sign kids that age. Some colleges might start recruiting them though.

That is what I meant, they would recruit them younger an bring them through the college system.

I don't know how their development pathways work, perhaps some NFL clubs have links with colleges.

But because they have a draft, that may not he the case, it may be more difficult than I imagine.

Or perhaps colleges will recruit them just to strengthen the college team and they may be able to be drafted from there. I am sure colleges would scout in the US, I am just not sure if they would bother coming here.

Age is important because I have seen kids in the 15-18 year age bracket with quality coaching can go ahead in leaps and bounds, they can learn quickly at that age.
If they start much older than that it will be more difficult to learn.
Hayne is exceptional and there may be a few others like him but not many.

GI could do it but he needs a proper knee operation this off season that he has been carrying for ages. Even if Hayne blows them away nobody is signing Inglis with a bung knee. Another year will just be too long. The ship has sailed there

There are no links in regards to pathways, the NFL teams wouldn't be involved in tat sort o recruiting at all. But yeah I see what you are saying. Its probably a good chance some division 2 colleges look at giving some of our best schoolboys a scholarship though even at college it is ridiculously competitive for spots.

No way would RTS make it, not athletic or agile enough.

Southern Hemisphere Polynesians arent as athletic as those born in America playing in the NFL. Thinks its some thing to do with time-zones and the effect on genetics.
 What a load of codswallop.

People need to relax. Hayne hasn't made it yet himself. The media is acting like he's a bonafide star about to sign a five year deal.

The Niners are yet to play guys in front of him at the position which means they're very happy and are evaluating everyone else.

He's looked good in punt returns but the transition to those was never going to be the hard part. Running the ball against the top defensive lines and etc is a whole other deal.

I don't know much about NFL so commenting is risky, but I think it he a good chance of making the squad.

They are picking a 53 man squad, which seems like a lot of players to me.

The kick return guy is part of a "special teams" group?

He also has some promotional/novelty value which would help in a "line ball" situation.
Hayne can also kick a ball, he may be of some use in kicking roles?

Even if he missed the 53 man squad he can be in the practice squad, and transition to the squad in case of injuries, injuries are fairly common in the NFL.

big hit!

As of 26th Aug 2015, which NRL player has succeeded in the NFL?

Seems as though many have bought the News Ltd fapfest. All good when it suits. But when they start to pay out on the League again...

Hayne is in with a shot, but reserve judgement until he makes the roster and then plays in games where opposition coaches are serious about shit.

At the moment it's all tiddlywinks. Every club is concerned with what the players they have in the bottom half of their 90-man rosters can do rather than going out to win football games.

Haynemania comes from the US media. John Madden basically gauranteed he would nfl roster this year after that 2nd trial game. He said if 49ers dont sign him theres no way he clears waivers so i think he is in with more just a chance at this point, unless u know something Madden doesnt.

Another NFL fan boi

Apparently the pre season is so easy that anyone, even those who haven't played before, could look good. Yes he hasn't made it yet, by why are you being such a dick about it??

This is the biggest News in RL history in Melbourne, 7 are advertising the NFL season on the basis of Hayne. And guess what, gasp, it's being covered by other organisations nor just your buddies at News.

Kick returning is special teams, though guys on special teams are still used in other capacities, they're just typically down the pecking order.

They have specialist kickers who just kick. They have a specialist goal kicker and a specialist punter, whose entire job is to kick the ball. He isn't going to be used to kick.

Even at his best GI wouldn have been no chance. The thing that gives Hayne a shot is his combination of size, speed, athleticism and evasiveness. GI has size, he had speed and athleticism. But he is not evasive enough.

Plus he had no desire to do it, and wouldn't give up his Dad's boat to give it a shot.
