As was the case last year, I'm going for the team that's playing the Roosters.
I have never liked the Roosters, mainly because of the Gus factor. There is also the sheer arrogance of some of their players (Hodges, Walker, Minichello, Cross, Crocker, Hegarty...)
Roosters fans (with the two very notable exceptions -Roostergirl from the old LWOS forums; and a personal friend of mine) are singuraly the most obnoxious, stuck-up, intolerant, unknowledgable, appreciative, ungrateful bunch of pricks I have encountered anywhere in any code (with the exception of Collingwood fans), who have both a short memory and a tendency to be revisionist when it comes to the history of football.
No matter what the score at the end of Sunday night, the true premiers in my mind will be Penrith. They have played the game the way it should be played - with a sense of spirit and adventure, as opposed to the arrogant world-owes-me-a-living ethos of the Stuart-Gould latte-drinking, shampooing, back-slapping pretenders.
Last year they were described as the pride of Australia. Who do they think they are? They had absolutely no pride of place in my house on that night!
Anyway, that's just my opinion. One of millions.
