Played cricket in the summer, have done so for most of my life! But we are moving to the USA so I may try ice hockey which I played a bit when I was younger again.

My fiance' who I am getting married to on December 14th in Californian from the USA, and we both decided that it was best to bring up our first child which she had over 2mths ago in the USA. My family is based in Melbourne. I see them if I am lucky 5 times a year. Her family is based in Beverly Hills, LA. That is where we will be living (not with them but a few streets away). Means that if my fiance needs help they are just down the road really. I didn't particularly want to go but its the best idea for our child.

Hey if I had my way I would live in the Sunshine Coast and never leave, but that is part of a relationship. Its all about give and take really. I'll miss my league and my other sports no doubt but in the end it has to be done for my family.

if its not too intrusive... wouldnt a child be better off brought up in the laid back culture of OZ than the conceited arrogant culture of hollywood?... just my take on things anyway

Possibly. But I don't get the final say in it. The main reason is due to the fact that she has all of her family in the USA around her. So if anything happens she can just ask them to come over. In the end I can only do so much and I help her a lot. But I don't know everything. My parents/sister are all in Melbourne. The culture thing is different of course and was a factor. Beverly Hills is a bit rowdy at times with all the celebs, ect. It was a factor but not the main thing.

Not really- although I aim to get 9,000 posts before I go though! Plowing my way through it! Plus it will be about the only avenue for league over there!

Not really. There is a bar in Beverly Hills that shows the Friday and Sunday games if there is no big basketball game on!

I am sure I'll get around to liking it. It will be very emotional for the first 12mths. After that I'll be fine. Saying my goodbyes to all my mates and my parents will be the hardest thing. Not looking forward to that! Even less looking forward to not going to the Broncos games!:(
