Maybe they could have a go at James O'Connor (Wallabies fullback). He is a leaguie and already lives in Perth

That would never happen. His international career, "stardom", money and security in Rugby Union is far too strong.

How does he qualify as a "leaguie"? . Because he's played it in the past?. League attempts to claim players as their own as Australia attempts to claim New Zealanders as their own (eg: Russell Crowe, Crowded House, etc...) ... It's getting a bit ridicilous, and slightly too territorial.

He won't convert. So, I wouldn't even entertain the thought.

Reality is he is a pro sportsman and as we have seen with many RU to RL or RL to RU players, if the moneys good enough they will swap codes at the drop of a hat. It's been happening for 100+ years and I see no reason it will stop any time soon.

He played only league until he was about 15-16 when he started playing rugby after getting a scholarship to a rugby school in Brisbane.

There's no definite reason he wouldn't. You never know..

Cooper's having a good old think about switching. John O'Neill is only kidding himself, and maybe Nicholas Hart, if he doesnt think union players would make a switch to league. By all reports the union is struggling financially.
