With Sculthorpe officially out of Tri Nations i think Noble will make a big mistake if he elects Peacock again, not only is he in poor form atm but he is not a leader of men and dosen't look too inspiring to me, so who should it be ?

not many other candidates though, Sinfield is a good captain but he really needs a massive finals series to earn a spot in the team, he is up against Wilkin, Cooke and Langley (if fit) for the loose forward position

Peacock will be captain and there would have to be alot of changes to the team if anyone else suitable were to get a shot, what are the odds of Noble making mass changes?

It's a formality that Peacock will captain G.B. if Sculthorpe isn't there for one reason or another . I have no problems with that .

Peacock seems to be a lead by example type and that's fine. He did okay last year and he fits one of the major pre-requisites which is that he will be in the side for sure. There are few players assured of a GB jersey but he is one. The others would probably be Morley, Fielden and Long, but even Long's position has been a topic of debate for several years. Realistically what are the other options?

I guess with Peacock vice then it stands as likely he'll be given the full-time gig.

I'm not sure he's got the traditional qualities of a talking and motivating captain, but can do the example thing, along with a lot of other players.

I think it puts added pressure on the people driving the team around the park to have strong leadership skills, and with Cunningham off the scene I think it now guarantees that we will see Sean Long at 7 again, and taking up that active talking on-field role.

Paul Wellens should be captain now. Peacock doesn't need the extra burden of being captain and Sean Long certainly doesn't as he is already the man GB have to rely on if they are going to be competitive.

Nah, he shouldn't be playing.

6 - Pryce
7 - Long
9 - Alker
13 - Cooke

14 - McGuire

I can't find a space for Sinfield. He's done nothing in the Sky games this season.

Oh right I see, SKY determine who shud be playing for their place right??
How silly of me. So Alker has done a lot more has he on SKY than Sinfield... And Paul Cooke eh?

Paul Cooke has had a superb season.

Out of interest, where would you put Kevin Sinfield in the GB side?

Wellens has been in the side for a number of years now, on and off, and is clearly an outstanding player, but even his position in the side is not assured this year.

What about Carney? He was vice last year and is a certainty for the side. He might play on the wing but I think he does have a few things to offer. He's played in the NRL this year and knows how the game is played here. He will put in a big effort anyway but the captain's job might make him work even harder. And it'd be good PR to have an Irish captain.

Morley's the best option

I didn't think Morley was playing. Hasn't he just had a reconstruction of his wrist? Either way he is not a good candidate for captain.

Gareth Ellis is a decent shout, but it will go to Peacock as it will make him look stupid as he was vice under Scully.
