Let's not forget all those years Slater was QLD's best player, or the amount of times he has pulled games out of the fire. When the chips are down Boyd isn't the game breaker that Slater is or Lockyer was when he played at the back.

Leaving out Holmes is a mistake as well. QLD are already lacking x factor with the loss of GI.. omitting him and Billy is just madness imo.

Boyd is only the Kangaroos fullback because Slater got injured.

If Slater's form since returning was crap, then fair enough.. by all means pick Boyd at fb.

I don't think it should be a Slater v Boyd situation either. I don't think there is any denying that the QLD side is stronger overall with both in the team then it is with one of them left out. They could've easily accommodated both but chose not to.
