??? Marcus? Looked comfortable there last night. Maybe Morris may switch back with a new 5/8 coming in?

he needs to have a killer game against St Marys to even be thought off at this stage. you can't just throw someone like Jimmy in when he hasn't even had a run this year..

I think Marcus may get the call up. In the trial game he played at hooker this year Brian Smith was singing his praises after the game. I would also like to see Mateo in the team somewhere.

However, If Robinson gets charged and has to miss a game we need another backrower but I dont think we can go into a game with O'Dwyer, Mateo and Widders. This puts too much pressure on Hindy to do alot of the go forward work. With Morro and Robbo out we need another backrower that can make good yards.

I think Marcus will get the call as well. It's a logical replacement.

Don't think Smithy will want to disrupt the overall make-up of the side. Let's not forget we played pretty damn well against the competition leaders and were desperately unlucky to lose.

I think it's very unlikely Mateo will get the call up but you never know.

Smith will NOT drop Morris, that I can gaurantee.

I think somepeople are looking for a scapegoat and pinning the loss on John Morris. Was he all that bad last nite? I dont really think it was him that cost us that game. Its still early and our team is still a bit unsettled. Just rememeber last year John Morris played every game at 5/8.

I'm not saying he's in the form of his life but give it some time.

I have to say Johnnie is definitely the flavour of the month with the scapegoat hunters.

I think he actually had a pretty good game last night and his stats back that up. Look, he's no bloody Brad Fittler or Benji Marshall but people expecting him to play like that aren't being realistic. He has a job to do and he does it well on most occasions. He's consistent and a good defender and has a pretty good kicking/passing game. Did he not get the ball out to Grothe for the first try?

He was given the job of 5/8 last year because:

A. The bloke we spent a fortune for (Dykes) who was a specialist 5/8 was far too inconsistent and we released him (Thank God for that).

B. He's a better 5/8 than Wagon.

C. There was no one in Prem's who was ready to step up.

I think the reason he's getting so much criticism is everyone wants a Benji Marhsall type player playing outside Tim Smith.

I would have said the same thing about the son in law

I'd be going with Mateo at 6 and putting Morris at 14 to cover for Ridell. In saying that, I'd be hoping to get at least 50 minutes out of piggy, Morris just isnt doing it for me this year, but its the safest bet for now.
