Yes... he might have broken a tackle in a game apart from the Italy trial.

Harrison 6
Gibbs 4
Fulton 4
Halatau 17
Farah 19
Rhino 16

Yeh... bloody gibbs... I'll get in his ear and tell him that if he wants to be better than Bronson he has to run the full length of the feild from the kick off against the best pack in the NRL in a semi-final instead of just half the feild.

Would you like to see a comparitive stats on a year by year basis since both made their first grade debut?

You will be very surprised to see who has progressed the better which is even more surprising considering one of these players was being used as a prop when he shouldn't have been ;-)

There is a reason why he has many raps on him by people who arn't involved with the Wests Tigers/Balmain, and why the club retained him and let go of Buckets, and why for the last 2yrs he has made the strong Kiwi train on squads.

I guess Westie and Nick if we used your theory then given many have talked about Collis who has yet delivered and who is what 2 weeks younger than Bronson and hasn't made any rep teams let alone struggled to get a look into the top grade squad then he should be written off as well?

On Halatau, he like Fitzy is one of Sheens favs and he will be given a pass to be put back into the squad and I somehow doubt it will be after the Anzac test match.

It will be intersting to see if Galea can hold down his position if the juniors continue to progress the way they have and if the new recruits perform to the best of their ability could be a few hard but interesting selection hedaches coming up during the year for Sheens

Which is awesome, this would be about the first time we have had selection headaches of "Who should we pick?" as apposed to "Who can we pick?"

I can't wait for '06!

 LOL westie bagging Harrison.

I remember Halatau copping the same treatment, tho his performances have sure shut him up.

Hey...theyre both balmain boys.... Just realised.

I see Taps doin a Deno and shuttin his critics up too.

Why would anyone be trying to compare Gibbs and Harrison???
One is a prop who could possibly play as a second rower whilst the other is a back rower who has been transformed from a centre, they are totally different types of players. Gibbs is more known for his workrate whilst Harrison is better known as an impact type of player. Both are very good and should be in the top 17 as far as i`m concerned.

This side i`m about to name won`t be starting the season, but it`s undoubtedly the most talented 17 we can come up with in my opinion and i reckon by finals time `2006 it won`t be far from the mark.

1.Brett Hodgson
2.Shannon McDonnell/Ben Jeffery
3.Dean Collis
4.Paul Whatuira
5.Jamaal Lolesi/Ryan McGoldrick
6.Benji Marshall
7.Scott Prince(C)
13.Dene Halatau
12.Ben Galea
11.Anthony Laffranchi
10.John Skandalis
9.Robbie Farah
8.Ryan O`Hara

14.Liam Fulton
15.Chris Heighington/Bronson Harrison/Sam Harris
16.Bryce Gibbs/Keith Galloway
17.Todd Payten

***Don`t forget that Anthony Laffranchi is coming into his last season as a Tiger and therefore, if he`s not performing right up to his best, i wouldn`t even be surprised if his spot gets taken by a better up and coming player before the season ends.

Halatau - poor performance. (7 dropped balls, sattler about to tear his head off cause he couldnt tackle... losing us our season) = bad wrap from westie.

- good performance (semi... actually breaking some tackles... still couldnt remove his cliche' drop ball per match) = good wrap from westie.

Harrison - Dominating a bunch of Italians (westie feels he has potential) - good wrap.

- Completely dogging any NRL game he features in = frustratrated bagging from westie.

Phillip we both know Harrison has been rubbish in FG whilst Gibbs has developed nicely when he plays with a bit of agression. Something our young Bronson could do with a bit of.

ROFL funny stats would indicate otherwise which is what the oposition look at ;)

If Bronson and Gibbs were both named in the starting line up I have no doubts at all that Bronson would be getting more attention focused on him for his attack and to think he is a year yonger than Gibbs as well.

Time will tell regarding Bronson but I have no doubt he will prove you wrong just like other players have over the last year ;-)

Gibbs only fired up towards the end of the season, particularily the finals.

Previously, he was nothing to rave about AT ALL. We'll see how he goes, because there is some pressure to maintain his spot now.

You'll find that's basically what I have said.

Yes phil... its all about the stats. :?

How can he prove me wrong... unless he gets a time machine and fixes up all his crappy performances I feel it will be impossible for him to prove me wrong.

ROFL Funny you have gone away from your tackle break comments quickly once stats had been provided ;-)

You think he hasn't delivered in the NRL as yet and thats correct he hasn't however he has shown up until the finals more promise and improvement since he has made his debut than what gibbs has over 2yrs

Its funny that his best games have been when he has been used in his correct position as a wide running back/backrower rather than for some reason being used as a Prop/middle of the ruck defender

Where as Gibbs has been used as a prop and backrower but has really yet shown his true potential either.

Both players are young and both players have the talent to be starting NRL players with the Wests Tigers even with the depth and current players we have at the moment

When I am refering to him proving you wrong that is regarding that he isn't a rubish player and that he can hold his own in the NRL and the Wests Tigers did the right thing in keeping him at the club.

You like your brother might be sick of hearing the "promise" tag that has been placed onto him and given how many of our younger players managed to step up to the mark and win the GF I understand why some might think that, however players like Harrison/Collis are a year younger than those who stepped up this year and who last year wasn't stepping up to the mark and this is what some forget when talking about players and if they are capable or not

He can prove all that are sick of the promise tag of being wrong by stepping up to the mark over the next 2yrs of his contract just like Collis will be able to do

You`re all mad. If both Bryce Gibbs and Bronson Harrison don`t both go on to become two of the games elite players in the next couple of years then i`m a very bad judge.
Bronson is without doubt one of the most promising tackle busting ball runners in the game, whilst Bryce has undoubted toughness and he had an unbelievably good finals series in which i think he proved to himself more than anyone else just how good he can be.

Once again, you have completely missed the point. I'm not sure if you genuinely can't keep up or if you are just deluding yourself to suit your point of view.

Bronson should be a very good player one day. He is not currently. Hell... he probably won't even be that good next year.

Please... if you are going to try to argue, may I suggest you use arguements which, instead of supporting my point of view, refute it. You look less silly that way.

Aren't you all forgetting Bronson's game against the dogs in round 3, he absolutely carved up. He did that because he was playing wide, but Sheens persists to use him up the middle of the ruck so he can develop, so don't expect to dominate while he is there. Hopefully that will happen when he is moved out a bit wider.

Funny, Gibbs has only come good in the last little while...last 3 months of the season maybe? Given Harrison is a year younger, he's still got plenty of time to get to where Gibbs is at. Plenty of negatives could be said about Gibbs. However unlike whiny little westie I choose to support players from both sides of the merger, so I won't say a word.
