I WANT it to me Mick, but I can see it being Thorman. There was a rumour going around that he would make Grade within two weeks. And this was before Wags got suspended. It will be interesting to see exactly what the coach does.

I think it will be Thorman with Dykes moving back to 5/8th . Remember Thorman is playing half back in reggies.

Either Thorman or Witt. Wouldn't mind Johnny Morris being included in that poll too, I reckon he might get the slot.

we have to keep morris comfortable in his current role... and honestly our depth at 5/8th and lock is much deeper than at hooker. but i'm happy for smith to choose whoever cos i'm sure no matter what we'll have a quality player at 5/8th

i do like webster and that's hard for me to admit as he has red hair, but only as a bench option

Wagon never really played at 5/8 anyway. It will be interesting to see if Smith goes with a traditional 5/8 (Witt, Thorman) or another Lock (Muspratt, O'Dwyer, Widders).

Either way we're probably gonna have to wait till Sunday to find out, Smith will keep his cards close to his chest.

I would like to see Michael given the nod because he has the bigger build and stronger defense that is required at five eighth nowadays. He has been playing some good football from what I have seen of Premier League in recent weeks and is becoming more accustomed to the role.

Personally I think that Thorman would be best used in the role that Webster is currently being used in because he is very creative from dummy half.

On the other hand I wouldn't mind seeing Shane Muspratt or Jeremiah Pai given a run either especially this weekend as Jye Mullane and Michael Monaghan aren't the biggest halves combination running around.

This from the Tele

* PARRAMATTA coach Brian Smith will today name a replacement for suspended five-eighth Daniel Wagon.

One option is to switch Luke O'Dwyer to five-eighth and elevate fresh reserve Dean Widders to lock.

And from the SMH

With Parramatta five-eighth Daniel Wagon suspended, Luke O'Dwyer is likely to be shifted to five-eighth with Dean Widders starting at lock. Interchange player Corey Pearson's back injury is still giving him trouble.

If true and if Pearson is out then another benchie will need to be picked

could we be seeing the 1st grade debut of Fui?

What games have you been watching? I saw my first prem League game against Souths, but Thorman looks bigger and more involved. Honestly, as soon as he gets a start, he won't be out of the side again all year. Witt may well be the future of the side, but Thorman is quality already and we need him playing firsts.

As mentioned above, I have only seen one PL game. But Fui looked awesome on Monday. I'd love to see him charging it up against Heckenberg and co.

I think BS will go with O'Dwyer to 5/8 and Widders to lock. Dean played very well last week and Luke looked a lot more comfortable out wider when he got some game time. I would love to see Thorman get a run but not sure if it is going to happen this week. I also know for a fact that Muspratt is very keen to get a shot in FG and thought he was unlucky not to get a go last week.

I think Smith will leave O'Dwyer to start from the bench. His two best games for us were when he started from the bench v Broncos & Souths. I think he will go with Widders & Muspratt in the starting side.
