Mitch giving the runs up at near T20 pace. Good to know some things never change.

Our batting depth stinks. What happened to Steve Smith, batted well in the first tour match and hasnt been seen since?

Yeah they're going to ruin the kid. He needs as many First Class innings under his belt as possible. I still think he's probably our best long term 5/6 option in tests, but if they keep dragging him away from the Shield to play meaningless ODIs and T20s he's never going to work the shit out of his game.

England declared 6/315, only Hollands 3/89 or so respectable really. We are 1/40 Cowan out.

And yeah, a shitty f**king camp for the world T20, which will obviously see players miss the first two games, then in Smiths case off to the bloody champions league with the sixers, so probably wont have a shield match till November.

And when will the selectors get through their thick skulls that Paine is no better than a no.7 bat. Seriously wtf with him at 5 in both innings pushing Burns back? As a batsman amongst the keepers he rates at least 4th below Haddin, Wade, and Nevill, and is probably battling to hold of Hartley.

Nev very stiff to miss this tour despite averaging 45 over the past twp years and being good with gloves, when Paine hasnt played cricket in that time
