As the subject asks who here is going to the world cup? I am and I am very excited about it. I'm off to the Opening ceremony and Australia V Argentina. France and Scotland (had to go to this one to go to the other games) and I am also going to the Final. Which I am very pumped about, I am only still relatively new to following rugby but love it now. Have now decked myself out in all the wallaby merchandise as well.

Thats a sore point for a lot of Kiwis. A mixture of board stupidity, ARU backstabing, and IRB pricing have meant a hell of a lot of Kiwis won't be going.

I'm not going because of the cost. I would have if the prices had been reasonable. :(

Aus v Argentina, Ireland vs Namibia and 3rd/4th place play-off.

I think the Aus vs Arg game will be a ripper. I could see an upset here with the Argies coming out on top. Imagine the media the next day. Doom and Gloom for Wallabies. :).

Fiji v Scotland, NZ v Wales, Georgia v Uruguay (year I know, you're all jealous), and Georgia v South Africa

I didnt get any of the 'prime games' because I missed out completely on the first offer and got these games on the 2nd one. I'm still looking forward to all these games though. Even though the standard won't be excellent I know I'll find the Georgia v Uruguay game interesting. I want to see what standard they're at. I'm really looking forward to the Fiji v Scotland game though. It should decide who the Wallabies play in the quaters (providing we beat Ireland and Argentina which will be extremely difficult).

Bayrep, you should have just got someone in Australia to buy tickets for you so you get them cheap and then just come over for the game(s) you bought tickets for, stay at a cheap hotel for a couple of days and go back home! I know of plenty of kiwis doing something similar.
