Our best possible win loss record will be 11-13, that's very tragic. I'm seeing one win maximum.

It's been said before..probably a million times today but I just can't believe our fall from grace.

This is what has been occupying my thoughts for most of today. Nearly had a prang in the car because of it!!!!

As much as the thought of it curdles my blood and makes me wish to sit in the corner and rock, I think the wooden spoon is not only inevitable but a sure chance of seeing the back end of Brian Smith.

From such a position maybe the voices of we supporters may well be heard by those that seem to have a finger on the handle of the guillotine.......

yeah and there's like 3 teams belows us... which may i mention include souths don't be so pessimistic... if you really wanted the boys to win then you would have faith that we can win everytime no matter what the circumstances are i do

I was bored and tried out the finals calculator on the NRL site...

I worked out that MATHEMATICALLY the Eels can still make the 8 if:
* Eels WIN ALL remaining games
* Dragons, Raiders, Sharks, Tigers, LOSE ALL remaining games
* Knights beat Raiders (R 22), Dragons (R 24), and Tigers (R 26),
but lose in R23 and R25.

Back in the real world  I think we will win only one game (Warriors) and our bye, and that should be enough to keep us away from the spoon.

Parra have not won the spoon in my lifetime (was conceived in mid-October 1972), but being in contention for it at this stage of the season surely has to rank as the worst Parra season performance in all of those years?

I went to the Tigers game.

I thought we could and should win, despite the fact we were struggling and the Tigers played an excellent game against Canterbury.

I will watch the remaining games of the season.

But I will not expect a win.

It's just depressing what has happened to our beloved club.

Can you show me any reason why my pessimism is not justified?
