You have an amazing memory for a young fella.
Ahhhh, Rex Mossop.
I can't begin to tell you how many times I wanted to punch him in the head.
And his lame arsed sidekick - Barry Ross. Spare me.

I distinctly remember Rex's car getting the rotten tomato treatment one day when he parked it under the old Cumberland grandstand.

Gary Freeman is apparently one of 21 people who have expressed interest in the Widnes coaching job in ESL next year. We can only hope he is successful and therefore removed from any future commentary roles...

That hope is for Australian television viewers.....not Widnes Rugby League followers.

it would have been interesting had Vaealiki gone to Widnes if Freeman was coach

We could be seeing

What I've never understood is why Free-moan insists on calling the Parra games. It seems that every Parra game that's been on Fox has Free-moan commentating.

I couldn't care less whether he likes Parra or not, but please don't follow the team around like a bad smell.

Arrrrrrrgh, Freeman is a pain...

Watch his commentary next time, and count the number of times he uses the phrase "I'll tell you what...." before launching into the bleeding obvious.
By the 25th "l'll tell you what..." in the first half, you're ready to switch over to the weather channel.

If you're gonna tell us something, JUST BLOODY TELL US !!!

But still, the stupidest commentators going are Benny Elias or Mark Geyer.

Freeman is now apparently down to the last four for the Widnes coach job:
http://www.smh.com.au/articles/2004/07/29/1091080382767.html

WANTED WHIZZ: Former Kiwis coach Gary Freeman is believed to be on a list of four for the vacant Widnes job. Current Kiwis coach Daniel Anderson is no longer a contender, as he would not be available to join the club until after the end-of-season tri-nations tournament in Britain. Cowboys assistant Neil Henry is a dark horse, while Melbourne No.2 Peter Sharp can also expect a call.

A couple of Freeman comments in the last couple of weeks has exposed him as the fraud he is.

Re: Luke O'Donnell's high shot on Hindy
"Ah, he didn't hit him high" with Smith replying "What, he got him around the chin!" (or something to that extent)

Just before h/t last round when Slater put the ball dead and got in Sideshows face, so Mateo shoves him
"Just remember fellas, he's played Origin, you havent!"
Well Gary, DUHHHHHHHHHH! Considering one is on debut and the other hails from WA, that was a real good observation! Or does that mean you should shut ya gob cause you never played Origin either FOOL!
