Each week I have the pleasure of listening to Peter Peters on 2KY and I have listened with interest to him talk about the new billionaire sponsor. I think he is the 13th richest person in the world, lucky Manly! I then have to listen to constant complaints about your home ground.

Why don't you just get the billionaire to flick a couple of million your way or is it easier for Dessie and friends to continue complaining, while deflecting attention from their white hot, premiership probable team?

Manly dont own the oval the council does....the 6 mil they got from the government still had to go through the council to get spent on the oval. Im pretty sure the council even tried asking the public "how they want the cash spent" while some idiotic b1tch named Kirsch *spelling* tried to say they should turn the oval into a frisbee field or sum shit. That f%#k is getting voted out next election along with her mates.

So yeah, I dont think a sponsor would pay to fix an oval that isnt even owned by the club they are sponsoring....unless the council want to sell to Kaspersky then f**k yeah we will play out of Trojan park for all i care just do the right thing & upgrade Brookvale oval!

I agree with the above poster - Kirsch has got to go. I've met her - she's off in lala land.

Regarding Brookvale Park (as the Council likes to call it) - I wonder if they'd consider selling the land? Would be worth a pretty penny, although I guess developers would be all over it.

Personally I quite like Brooky the way it is, but it seems I'm in the minority...

Have recently been involved in a battle with Warringah Council over proposed development in Narraweena. They will be gone at the next elections. September 2012.

I've had dealings with the same council since 1993, don't expect things to get better. I think that you need to be obstructionist to get a gig there.

I've looked at this plot from google earth. If the leagues club can combine with a new stadium they could really do something great.

Have the club facing Pittwater road and the stadium behind, with some decent parking and a facility for buses. Thats if they could buy the whole land package right to Federal Pde.

Firstly why the hell would a sponsor fork out that much cash when chances are in a few years they'll have no link with the club?
Secondly, Why shouldn't the various levels of government put money into it like they have for Kogarah, Wollongong, Newcastle, Cronulla, Penrith, etc?
