Why is Michael Jennings being dumped by Parramatta? Who will sign him?

Reports that Michael Jennings is being told to look for another club. The Eels plan to play him in reserve grade (Wentworthville) to encourage him to leave.

This man is a world class centre. He has scored some brilliant tries, especially one for the Sydney Roosters in the 2013 Grand Final. Parramatta needs someone with his talent level. What is the reason?

Which NRL club can afford to sign him? He is on AU$800,000 a year. Could he go to Super League?

Penrith fans would love to have Jenko back. But in reality,it'll be a couple of years before we can break out the cheque book.

Unless they're the club pushing for an extra Marquee slot...

Can't see Jennings coming to Super League, the money he'd want is only really being paid to Half Backs & Locks here. He'll end up going to Gold Coast where everyone else's rejects end up.

Why did the Roosters dump him?

Your answer might be there.

because Lats & Manu were two cheaper options?

I don't understand it either. Jenko is a former NSW and Aus representative with a glittering career including that unforgettable grand final winning try. a struggling team like Parramatta could really do with someone of his star power. But I guess Newcastle might make a play, especially with Moga in trouble. Newcastle enjoys collecting former Roosters

Eels making room for Izzy

Nah, it's for Owen Craigie. He's been training the house down during the off-season and is the best he's ever looked.

Seriously though, Jennings is NSW Cup standard these days.
