Why Melbourne will lose

Brisbane want it more. Webcke retiring alone will be enough inspiration for them to overcome the Storm.

I think that the experience of the Broncos will win out. Melbourne have many good years as a team ahead of them, the Broncos team (particularly the 4wds) don't have many years left in them

As Tallis just said on NRL on Fox, if you need things like Webke retiring to get you motivated to win a GF and the game itself doesn't motivate you, then you shouldn't be playing the game of rugby league.

As for the Bronco's wanting it more than the Storm, if that's not the biggest load of bullsh*t i've ever heard i don't know what is. How the f**k would you know? I think it's more that you want the Bronco's to win more than what the Storm do and that's why you come out with the bullsh*t you do. If Brisbane win it, it's because they were too good on the night and that's it.

Bollocks! This is where Brisbane will stumble, they will get too focused on farewelling Webke and won't be focused on the job at hand. This is where Melbourne always have the psychological edge.

Brisbane in an extremely tight one.

Having said that though, I wouldn't put any money on it. I just hope it's a good game.. I'm once again too shattered to care who wins.

I will be putting money on the Broncos and the West Coast Eagles...the double...just like they did in 1992

I doubt wayne bennett will even mention webckes retirement this week, honestly i dont think it will be discussed at all, its not the way they opperate, theyll go into the game as if its just another footy match and play it that way. I hope the Storm dont get too over-awed by the whole event and stay focussed, if not it could be game over. Hopefully not, Go the Storm!

why does everyone forget that melb have some motivation too....its scott hill's 200th and final game for the storm

Not to mention it's the last game in Storm colors for Kidwell, Friend and more than likely Turner. Yes they'll play again but not with each other. Apparently that means sweet FA :sarcasm:

Brisbane will be trying their heart out to send Webcke out on a high.

You think the Storm players wont be doing that namely for Kidders and Hill?

mate without a doubt but webcke means more to brisbane than those players do to melbourne (with all due respects)

Fair enough mate, but hopefully the boys will be desperate to send out one of our last foundation players in Hill on a high.
