What side do you think that Wigan will put out against the dragons next year and as I do not watch much super league would be appreciated if you could tell me the players to watch in the wigan team. The side I think will be there for the mighty dragons:

Deacon has retired now, replaced by Finch


Leuluai played in the halves last year but Tomkins will prob move into halves if Leu goes into Hooker.

O'Loughlin could go to 6 if Tomkins stays at 1.


Richards may be injured for the game. He injured himself badly in the final. Achilles or something.

Kyle Stanley won't play, shoulder surgery. Weyman has undergone groin surgery and won't resume full training until new year. Unlikely to play. Dan Hunt might play, he had surgery on achilles. Dragons tend to bring guys on slowly with the emphasis on rehab. Dragons fan might see a couple of young players the club has been developing. They may get a go on the bench eg; Jake Marketo and Jack Bosden. Bosden is a tackling machine and intelligent backrower with impressive ball playing ability. 98kg, 6'1" and mobile. Frontrow new signing David Gower from the Wests/Tigers may be on the bench. Junior Paulo, who is a frontrower and Greenfield may come into contention as well. This Dragons team will change. Interested to see if Bennett uses Matt Cooper at lock at some stage. He was a lock in the Illawarra teams as a junior. Kyle Stanley will force his way into the top team. He is too good to ignore.

Roberts will probably come in for the injured Richards. Harrison Hanson would also get a start, and Liam Farrell would probably be in at the expense of Mossop and O'Carroll

Surely, in a first choice side, Roberts would be in ahead of Goulding or at fullback with Tomkins in the halves? How long is Richards out for?

No, Roberts played most of last year in the reserves. Richards will miss the start of the season, that's what was announced, so I'd guess he'll not be available for the WCC.
