Wigan vs Wakefield

A very under strength Wakey team have beaten Wigan 12-6 today. This with both 1st choice halves out.

Dave Halley (on loan from the Bulls) scored both tries with Tony Martin kicking a goal and a penalty.

Joel Tompkins scored the solo try for Wigan with Richards landing the goal.

Decent crowd of 14,377 giving an opening weekend average of 14,602 ;-)

Noble's team selection for the game was absolutely pathetic - he seems to have a phobia of playing anyone under age 25 or foreign. The decision to have four forwards on the bench and completely reshuffle the halves and pack when Riddell needed a break was just confusing.

Wakefield had a total of eight first choice players missing for this game yet should have won the match by 20 points.

Don't back against them especialy when they're down.

Great stuff by Wakey, they made my day.

Whilst ever Noble is at Wigan and killing the club, I want them to lose.

How much longer will they put up with the fraud of a coach ?

Rooney pulled out before the game which meant Wakey had 9 players out and players deemed not good enough for Wigan starred for the Wildcats.
