Yankee Hotel Foxtrot is the easiest album to get into - and easily their best.

I have a wilco cd and I hate it.

I was duped into thinking they were similar to pavement with ''heavy metal drummer''.

I dunno ....maybe I should give it another go.
or is this one of the worst records?

I'd rate Yankee well over Summerteeth and A Ghost Is Bron...

Maybe try listening without any expectations?

I'm still very fond of Being There. I do prefer the alt.country part of their canon, but I do love YHF.

A Ghost Is Born is frustrating in that there are some good THF-like songs surrounded by indulgent rubbish like the endless white noise, etc which just makes you skip ahead.

For mine - YHF > Sky Blue Sky > Being There (adore the first disc) > Summerteeth > AM > AGIB

A Ghost Is Born has some great songs on it.

I used to really like AM and Being There, but now I listen to AGIS and YHF much more.

Yankke Hotel Foxtrot > A Ghost is Born > Sky Blue Sky > Being There > Summer Teeth > AM

A Ghost is born is pretty amazing imo, At least thats what you said is a phenomenlal opener, and its pretty consistant all the way through.
