Assuming that Covell will replace Miles who looks to be gone for quite a stay,my next question is,will Covell kick????Will Sheensie stick with Hodgson????

I have been dissapointed with Hodgsons kicking.I know he was going well in practice. But this has not converted to the game day. From memory,I think he has got 12/19 which is 60%.Not the 80 odd I was hoping for,and we desperatley need.

I know Covells percentages in PL arent as good as usual, but surely he is a better kicker than Hodgson who has been missing plenty of kicks from close to in front.I must admit every time Hodgson kicks I wish it was Luke.

Im hoping Sheens first gives him a wing spot, and secondly lets him kick the goals.......Cheers.

I would hope so but i can see sheens sticking with
hodgson. In the trial against souths.Hodgson was
kicking with covell on the field who was kicking
ordinary that night.

Hopefully the kick Hodgson missed from right in front yesterday will
cnvince Sheens to use Covell...thats if as we assume hes in for Miles.

The ball leaves his boot so sweetly, and he drills it like El masri, you
know almost straight away if hes got it or not.

Knowing Tim Sheens he might not definitely put Covell in the side, for some reason I think Sheens does not like him.

If he doesn't play him next game then that will be 100% confirmed. It wouldn't surprise me at all to see someone like Halatau or Harrison on the wing.

vnrl is pissing me off.
i have the best attack in one comp yet i am coming 10th with just 2 wins.
scored 47 last week and lost and 41 a couple of weeks ago and lost again.

and in the other comp my highest score was the time i lost when scoring 37 .although both teams need a current frontline kicker.

as for covell,is he automatic to go into the team?
could a player like pethybridge have a shot or samia or greally?

could tim put in collis or shift someone already in the 17 to wing?

i wouldn't mind covell getting a call up though.

Pethybridge - no, a top PL player but I simply don't think he'd cut it in first grade, he's too small and has a tendancy to go for the intercept rather than the tackle which would see him eaten alive in first grade

Samia - not yet - I can see him placing pressure on Covell in a couple of weeks time but he's been out of footy for nearly a year and still finding his feet in PL again

Greally - not on the Wing, he's doing a fine job at fullback for Balmain but he's very much a specialist fullback and I've never really liked him on the wing, he's also very young and I think needs more time before he's ready for first grade.

Covell has been playing well in a side thats struggling and should be the stand-out to replace Miles although when Samia regains fitness I think he will have to work to keep his spot.
