Rep honours:
Parra:
Hayne - outstanding for NSW & Aus.
Inu - test debut at 18 - was not overawed
Grothe - strong in all his Origin games
Cayless - won the world cup as Kiwi captain
Hindmarsh - Origin powerhouse (after a slow start) and singlehandedly won NSW a game
Gulavao - GF and test experience - won a premiership as a 'big game player'
Bulldogs:
El Masri - did he seriously play Origin???
Morris - as much a rookie as anyone else
Kimmorley - knows how to lose at Origin level...
Hannant - QLD powerhouse
Ennis - wasn't great at Origin level
Ryan - can handle the pressure - but his game has been MIA for a few years now
I wouldn't say they have MORE experience at Origin/ test level? (it's possible I overlooked someone?)
But the Eels players are used to the pressure game - 9 of the last 10 games we've played have been "knockout" scenarios. Look how we handled them!
Dogs haven't faced an elimination game yet, the pressure is RIGHT on them, they've had a soft semi vs a weak Knights team, looked a rabble against the Tigers in the last comp round (in a pressure game to win the minor premiership) and haven't played any footy in 2 weeks.
I'd much rather be in our shoes for this game - just my opinion, but I reckon the bulldogs are a miniscule chance of winning.
What a dumb assessment this is.
- Patten has been in a GF and big finals before.
- El Masri has been in a GF and played test & origin
- Kimmorley has played in a GF, origin and tests
- Hannant has played in a GF and origin
- Stagg has played in a GF and origin
- Eastwood/Roberts, finals and test experience
- Ryan been in a GF, origin and tests
- Ennis been in origin and big finals games
- Morris been in origin
The only real rookies who havnt been involved in big games would be Goodwin, Idris, Warburton, Gordon, (and maybe Hickey/Armit but they have been around for a while)
And although it wont really matter, your assessment clearly had no thought.
