Will the Jets Improve Next Year?

Do you think that Newtown will be able to put a few wins together next year in both Premier League and Jim Beam Cup?

Hopefully the boys can concerntrate on winning and be in the upper part of the ladder next season.

Maybe not a top 8 challenge yet. But I think improvement is possible and maybe a finals appearance in the JB Cup.

Call me an optimist but I am looking forward to next season, Steve Skinnon has returned from the Roosters, we have signed 5 players I think from NZ Bartercard cup teams and with Fieldsy returning along with big Monah and Tabua. Life as a Bluebag looks better and better, this season we won 6 games and drew 2 and we defeated Parramatta and the Cougars and should have won against the Bulldogs, Raiders as well.

This should flow on down to JB and despite our position we just forgot how to win a but had the 7th best for. At one stage this season we could only field 14 in JB due to injuries at the club. We like every other fan look towards each season with renewed hope and only time will tell.

Steve was one player we really did miss this year. He never did look good in a Roosters jersey.

He certainly was and given who else will be back it promises to be a very strong pack of forwards.

Having Skinny back is great for you guys. You sure have a tough pack - hope Billy Najjarin is still a Bluebag (unless of course he heads out West), and Cokey is still a class half for Premiers. What you seemed to lack was some smaller guys with a bit of zip. In the games I saw from you it was a real tough tussle up the middle, but our little men started to find holes when your big guys tired. If you can fix that area and maintain the defensive intensity for the full 80 you've got a solid platform to push towards the semis.

Looking forward to coming back to Henson.

I thought Tabua had signed for a team in France? Or at least he was leaving the Jets? I hope I'm wrong as he's quality!

Billy Najjarine will be back as will Tabua at this stage along with Monah so our forward pack is pretty big jsut to try and match those magpie boys. We have a lot of new trialists with more to come so fingers crossed.

I'm confused bluebag. When will Tabua be back? After the French season (like Fieldsy) or is he not going to France anymore.

Does the French season end prior to the start of our season.

If not will the guys have releases from their French clubs to play in Premier League, or will they return mid season.

Great to see the guys getting further experience and continueing fitness in our off season, however I hope they are not injured.
