the old saying is you have to lose won to win one but i have grave concerns if we will be back a few points fellow eagles fans
1. the roosters & broncos are our main worries to get back to next years decider locky hunt back, roosters looked very dangerous next year.
2.the storm may be buliding a canberra type era, with inglis, smith, slater, folau, hoffman, white, cronk & a nursery of hard nosed kiwi pigs lima, blair, smith let's hope a car takes out smith or inglis other wise a long couple of years ahead.
3.our problems talk about nervous playing away from game plan.
4. Pigs have no mongrel that flea crocker hits stewart we cheap shot we go hide.
5. Josh Perry must bring some mongrel jason king let's go missing.
6. The matt oford bagging unjustified no go forward so we had to go wide in own 20, he was kicking under pressure because he had no go forward.
7. the five eight issue we don't have one jamie lyon is a centre look at parra match won us match, either matai goes to lock(only player with mongrel) or bell to wing.
the main reason we had ox under pressure other option at list inglis can bomb.
8. the question who for 6: clint halden, steve menzies or james mortimer
9. Ballin has a lot of pressure on him will he handle it.
10.must use ballin & lestrange off bench worked for parra give it a go.
11. williamson time is numbered in first grade either matai at 13 or that young rugby boy every one was after hargeraves.
12. watmough putting in hollower that are rubbish missed 11 tackles & dropped 2 balls went missing.

broncos yes, roosters no roosters wont make the GF, assuming that the storm have one spot locked up
leave lyon at five 8 now, we had the chance to keep burns there, hes gone now so we have to persist, hopefully he imporves on an average year
ballin will handle it
williamsons time is not numbered, hes a good sqaud player, not a superstar, he will proabbaly be used the same way next year as he was this year
and the last point is ridiculous, he had one bad game (although it was shocking) amonsgt his great 2007, i dont think that means manly are gone for next year becasue one player screwed one game up (again it had to be the GF FFS, but anyway)

No he wasn't. He only played there occasionally as cover. He played the vast majority of his time and his best form for St Helens at right centre.

Manly were shown up , the forwards went missing when it counted. Orford ok in general , but not good enough. This will not get better next year. Manly will not make the top 4 next year.

let's not get carried away still will be top 4 team but whether they get back to gf another thing. Des has to be tough like bozo was after 95 gf, cutting des, craig hancock, moving danny moore to wing.
Need more impact in side too many workers, that said great effort to make gf.
For manly fans watch hargraves this weekend for rays at 3.00 on abc rugby union to see if he is first grade.
We will at least see a mortimer or halden at 6 for trials & perry in prop as lyon & king to be suspended.

ridiculous statement, manly will make top 4 next year, and unless you're a melbourne fan you cant bag manlys forwards because as crap as they performed that night, they were great all throughout the year to actually make th GF, every other forward pack is a dismal failure to the storms and inadequate compared to manlys

Gains:
Lui Toimoana - Warriors
Jared Waeara-Hargreaves - Rugby Union > 2009
Josh Perry - Knights > 2010
Heath L'Estrange - Roosters > 2009
Kenny Edwards- Keebra park. QLD

Losses:
Michael Monaghan - Warrington
Travis Burns - Cowboys
Chris Hicks - Warrington
Sam Key - French RL
Aaron Groom - Bulldogs

we dont lose very much in depth at all I really think we are improving our depth,
Ballin will fit in nicely for Monas and Bani for hicks, so IMO top 4 again

you bet Manly will be back next year, Dessie will probably use this year as inspiration for them to go 1 better.

I know all you Manly fan's will jump on me but here it goes, Manly next year will be weaker as I believe Monaghan and Burns are huge losses, and your really haven't bought anyone of note as Perry goes missing more often than not and doesn't play with heart, also Brent Kite is the most overated forward I've seen in a long time and not worth anywhere near the money he is probably getting, in summing all of this up, be happy if you make the top eight, no Monaghan and Burns = NO MONGREL.

Burns hasn't played for months, Ballin was our hooker during the start to our season, Kite seems to do his job pretty well and Matai has more than enough agro...

I know all opposition fan's will jump on me but here it goes, you want Manly to fail and will try and grossly over inflate or fabricate perceived weaknesses to say we'll fail. For example:

2005: Ben Kennedy is old, Broken down and Injured, and Brent Kite is sh*t. Monaghan isn't a halves arse.
2006: Matt Orford is an overrated Choker. Monaghan is better than him in the halves.
2007: Manly will suck without superstar Ben Kennedy.
2008: Manly will such because their star hooker is gone.

this coming from a team that has finch & smith in team, f**khead.
Onto more important things hargreves played for rays yesterday a big strong athlete good off load will proably be in 17 only played 20 minutes rugby angry because of defection, i think we may see menzies at 13 next year & while lyon may be only 1st grade option at six he must improve kicking game.

Hargreves will be lucky to play first grade next year. It is a development year for him. If he does make it he will have to be a freak!!!!

yes Monaghan is gone but Manly does have an up and coming star ready to take his place and I'm sure he won't be fullfilling Orford's role as half back unless Orford's off the field and Dessie instructs him to.

Seeing as though it's the off season, I like the idea of revisiting some of these old threads.

I'm sure big boppa eel will enjoy being reminded about one of his more....shall we say, insightful posts!
