i try to add a video, it tells me to get a codec! can anyone help me out its driving me nuts! :crazy:

Which codec is it asking for? If you type the error message into Google, it
should point you in the right direction.

The file Storm_highlights_09.mp4 cannot be imported because the codec required to play the file is not installed on your computer. If you have already tried to download and install the codec, close and restart Windows Movie Maker, and then try to import the file again.

i am not sure where to go! i typed it into google and alot of forums and question sites came up

Righto, go to this site : http://www.filehippo.com/download_klite_codec_pack/

and download it. It has the most up to date codecs around so it should fix your problem. It is free as well.
